Night Run

Let’s get down to it Boppers. If you have always wanted to hear the infamous “Night Run” song by the Mersh Brothers which can be found in the movie credits but not heard in the movie then you can check it out through the YouTube clip below. I think I certainly prefer “Nowhere to Run” but you can see why they used this. I must also extend a big thanks to John Garrett for finding it and letting me know. Enjoy!

    Hey Anthony!
It’s great that you ripped that song, I finally hear that track again after all this years. Now, my question, I’ve been trying to download that song, and it seems that no one has it. Are you able to send that to me or share a link where I can download that? I would like to get some stuff from this Mersh Brothers band. Thanks!

There are 2 possibilities the track “Night Run” could be:

    1. The background song during the speaker’s “The Baseball Furies dropped the ball…” announcement.

    2. This track featured on certain British VHS versions of the movie, with “I’m a fugitive…” chorus, which replaced the “Nowhere To Run” cue.

Now, Phil Marshall is an American composer, and the Mersh Brothers were an American underground band in the 70′s. The “Fugitive” track sounds like it was performed by some early British NWOBHM band. Though some people claim that the “Fugitive” is actually the lost “Night Run” track, I seriously doubt it. But there’s no way to be sure, because I haven’t yet met anyone who can recognize the riffs from the “Baseball Furies dropped the ball” background.

So, I got Phil Marshall’s e-mail address off his official site, and sent him an e-mail in which I politely asked him to clarify this dilemma, but the e-mail bounced back as undeliverable. Rats! :(
