Ajax's Belt Buckle

Watching the movie for the umpteenth time and just noticed that the belt buckle Ajax wears features a face. On one of the Warriors fan pages the thinking is that this is a nod to Greek mythology - and also a nod to the film's producers in keeping in line with Sol Yurick's book where the CI Dominator...

Re: Mercy As Bait?

imo no she isn't bait etc (have just played back the scene) she already gets the last word before the warriors walk off - so that doesn't fit. it seems beyond dispute that she follows the warriors looking for excitement (that and very few hollywood movies have no leading lady) my explanation; the m...

Re: what tv show do you wish you were in

Being on 24 would be cool. But likely you'd get killed. Almost all characters good or bad on 24 end up dead.

Re: WARRIORS being developed as a TV show for HULU

Any recent info on the show? I could not find anything on the Internet. I'm a bit worried about the overall quality, since HULU doesn't have overwhelming experience in producing TV shows. The filmmakers for the Captain America movies, are currently filming the next two Avengers movies - the next mo...

Re: Savage Huns or Mongols?

Great find! The pic shows The Warriors walking in daytime - maybe that's why it was not used and cut out. But what a pic - maybe they could have sliced this scene in during the subway ride up to the Bronx, showing them make their way to the conclave. On another note - the part in the game where they...

This games looks really cool - I went to the kickstarter site and it reads that the funding has been cancelled. That's the pits.

IF there is any political correctness in this take on the iconic film, then forget it.

Lets see how it goes.

Music Artist Prince is found dead

Any of you Prince fans? News is that he was found dead today in his home, after a bout of severe flu. I wasn't his biggest fan, I liked a few of his songs. But one thing for sure, he put on a great Superbowl half-time show - they should've just had him do the half-time show each year. He was a great...

MLB 2016

Any baseball fans out there? 2016 season is a full week in. The AL East is the toughest division - difficult to tell who will end up being in 1st place. I'm from Toronto and this is the year that the Blue Jays have to pull out a World Series win because Jose Bautista and/or Edwin Encarnacion are lik...

Re: Hip Hop Warriors

Rap didn't really come to the fore until about 1981 / 1982 . And you would have to give a nod to Blondie for helping to push rap into mainstream with her song "Rapture" where she raps (and drops names like Grandmaster Flash) and I think her video would be considered the first "rap" video shown on MT...

Re: New Unseen Production Photo - Punks

Also noticed the blades of grass on the front of the arcade machine, forms the letter W Good catch! The cowboy game is the obvious nod to the Yurick book where the "Swan" character plays the game. I wonder if Walter Hill actually tried to film Swan in the movie surveying this game, or maybe even pl...

Re: Coney Island Cast Reunion of The Warriors 09/13/2015

I seem to remember thhat there was a group called the New York Road Runners who worked a couple of nights portraying the Baseball Furies. I am pretty sure that they were only called in to do some running scenes but not the actual fight with The Warriors.

Does anyone else remember this group ??
