Re: RUMBLE MODE IS EASY

It's way too easy, and that is probably my single biggest disappointment with what otherwise is a great game.  The way to do Rumble Mode is against a buddy, THEN it is fantastic.

Invulnerability in Rage Mode?

Can anyone here quantify for me the boosted defenses you get while in Rage Mode?  I was fighting my friend in Rumble Mode last night and he became furious when I beat him at the end of a close fight while in Rage Mode.  Basically, he whalloped on me while I was in it and it didn't seem to do much of...

Re: a better ending

The ending was brilliant.  Once Swan had disabled Luther's gun hand, their last bet was called.  The Riffs allowing the Warriors "passage" off the beach and mopping up the Rogues for them completed their transition from outlaws to venerated boppers who would now garner the respect of the entire city.

Re: Sexiest Warrior

It occurred to me the other day how homoerotic The Warriors is as a film.  I mean the movie basically consists of nine half-naked, cleanly shaven boys running around New York City, almost all of whom are obsessed with sex, violence or both.  Hill glorifies them, purposely.

Re: Director's cut question

I refused to buy it when I heard about the changes Hill had made to the film.  If ever a movie did not have to be touched or altered in any way, it's The Warriors. I ended up buying the 2001 DVD with the original print of the film.  I'd recommend it.  The color is great and the sound, while not awes...

Re: One more thing I love about Ajax.

Not everything...the guy was a lunkheaded rapist who couldn't think his way out of a paper bag.  The film makes it quite clear that Swan was named War Chief for a reason.  Cleon was wise, no matter how much he liked Ajax.

Re: Snow is over rated

Actually, Swan, if you read the original script, Walter Hill had a long list of gangs that he created for the film.  The Hurricanes were not only named in that list, but also depicted in the film at the Conclave. You'd have to check it, but I believe if you look at the gangs in the game, all of them...

Re: how many times have u finished the game?

Brothers and sisters, I've got to say, and I mean this for real - this game has better replay value than any video game I've ever played.  I've finished it on Bopper and Hardcore Soldier and am working toward finishing it on Unleash the Furies and I still find the missions utterly compelling and I f...

When you beat Armies of the Night, a gargoyle will visit you in your sleep that night and take you to an island where you'll be the very last soul on earth and live forever in darkness with no sunrise...

I'd be willing to make a donation to make this happen one.  A modest one, mind you, but a donation nonetheless.  Please make sure to reach out to the list when you reach that point.

Re: Mixed Sex Gangs

Nah, Mercy didn't count as a gang member.  That would be cool, man.  One of the things I loved about this movie was that Walter Hill was insistent on The Warriors being a mixed race gang.  In fact, from what I understand, he thought that that was one area where they drew their strength. So I think h...

Re: One more thing I love about Ajax.

Ajax is a realist.  All that pie in the sky, let's hold hands stuff Cyrus was saying was total bulls*** to him.  As it turns out, he was right...Cyrus was naive to put that many dangerous people in front of him without proper security, even in 1979.

The original script has this in it, the 120+ affiliates number.  You can read it on this site.

Re: unlesh the furie............

Guys, I've got a question about Unleash the Furies... One of the things that frustrates me about Hardcore Soldier is that Rumble Mode is so easy (when you're fighting against the computer). Once you unlock everything (100%) on Unleash the Furies difficulty, do the battles in Rumble Mode get apprecia...
