Re: were the lizzies at the conclave?
I don't think they were at the meeting (any girl would have stood out in that crowd) but the fact that they even know about the meeting and Cyrus tells us that the Lizzies are a big enough gang to matter (whereas the Orphans are clueless). They're the first of the enemy gangs to actually mention Cyr...

Re: Did Swan and Mercy hook up and leave the gang.
I think it could work either way as to whether Swan leaves the gang. As their journey home progressed, he seemed to become more disillusionned with the gang life, especially when they finally make it back to Coney. Hard to blame him, they've been wrongly accused of murder and marked for death, lost ...

Re: The One Thing I would change.
I like Cleon, but it worked best that he died near the start because it forces Swan to step up and prove that he has what it takes to get them out and be as good a leader as Cleon was. In the original script, the Furies managed to kill Cochise (he and Cowboy's positions were switched meaning Cowboy ...

Re: On the way to the meeting
I think the cops would have let the gangs make their way to the meeting without any trouble if they saw them, because they already had people at the meeting. It would make more sense for the cops to be able to pick up many more of the bigger gang's members there, rather than some random gang member ...

Re: Cyrus and the Mafia
Like your way of thinking The Swan, maybe the mob even tipped off the cops too hoping that their puppet (luther) would get arrested or even killed. Thanks for the heads up on the book, going to try and find it. if the plan had worked, and assuming the gangs didn't fall apart later, they have the ad...

Re: Cyrus and the Mafia
For things like this, you have to remember that we're not necessarily talking about the real world. We don't know how strong or not the crime syndicates were in the movie setting, and for the street gangs to get big enough and organised enough for Cyrus to be in a position to plan unifying them, it ...

Re: Why Start?
I think the one of the big reasons for the Warriors, and many other gangs forming is that they are all mostly poor kids from the ghettoes, brought up in bad high crime environments and in most cases with no real prospects for their futures. The world the Warriors takes place in doesn't exactly sugge...

Re: How Long?
One thing to remember is that they're all quite young, it's a juvenile street gang and even the senior members would be late teens/early 20's. One possibility is that these Warriors are not the guys who started the gang (let's forget about what the game says) and that the Warriors could have been an...

Re: 3 against Police-Woman!
Would have probably been too risky, because the rest of the cops were obviously nearby to hear the whistle, and even if they took out the undercover woman, they'd have a hard time getting out of there. And if the cops saw one of their own immobilized, they'd show no mercy, and rather than just Ajax ...

Re: Murder Party
I've got Murder Party, and for what it is a low budget straight to DVD cheapie it's not too bad. Not very original, but better than all the remakes and some of the other horror rubbish that gets released in the cinema. A bunch of mostly talentless art students send out an anonymous invite, with the ...

Re: Riffs the courageous gang? I don't think so.
Ok in the movie the Furies are on the Riffs Network. Now as we know it didn't take much for our boys to put a beatin' on the face painting mutes. Ok. We all conclude that The Furies are only feared becuase they lack communication skills and their appearance. Im thinkin' the Riffs were probably scar...

Re: where the gangs right
Personally, I'd have replaced the Punks with another gang, or at least have done more to make them stand out. The fight scene between them and the Warriors was a good one, but compared to most of the other gangs in the movie, the Punks don't really stand out and are a bit "blah". I think the Lizzies...

Re: ran through
Even some of the best movies have errors if you look hard enough. The original Star Wars trilogy has loads, and I think one of the recent Spiderman movies holds some sort of record for noticable errors.

Re: Racism?!
Far as I know, there are five soldiers who use the Honky insult, all with the same voice used. The Panzers leader, a black Turnbull, a Bopper, a black Saracen and a Van Cortland Ranger. Find any of these in the rumble mode selection screen, the quote comes up quite often when you come to any of these.
