Re: Did the Savage Huns know martial arts?
I'd have to say yes they did. It seems like gang life back in those days involved more actual hand to hand fighting and less gunplay. They would have to know how to fight and Chinese martial arts would be the natural choice for them.

Re: Why wait?
Plus, I think the Lizzies wanted sole credit for wasting some of the warriors. They didn't want to call the Riffs over like they needed their help.

Re: Furies "........."
Well 1000% agree Scurvy Dog: silence and painted faces as "great" weapons 4 instilling fear in their enemies, no doubt they spoke and no faces painted in their hang-out. So I was wondering, their vests-their gang was like a real baseball team.... perhaps they were good baseball players, why not? An...

Re: Police after The Warriors
Well 1st of all thanks 4 your opinions guys, and congr to theSleepiLizzie_of_2006: well done! Ye the cops went after the others, but that's the point I meant... it seems "too easy" 4 Swan, Ajax, Snow and Cowboy... or it's simply the movie, i.e. Swan+3 had to fight against the furies. Maybe if anywa...

Re: Police after The Warriors
As I recall, the cops went after the others and Swan, Ajax, Snow and Cowboy just lost the police as they ran out. But, if the police did run out, I don't think there would have been much of a rumble. The cops would have pulled out their guns, people would run and that would be that. Notice the wa...

Re: How did the Furies know the Warriors would come out?
It's one of those moments that only happen in the movies. Of course, there's no way the Furies knew the warriors would be coming out of the station at that exact time. And there's definitely no way that they would be arranged in a perfect semi-circle like that. Imagine if you were just some tourist...

If The Warriors was released today.
Let's just say The Warriors was filmed and released now and it was a movie based in 1979. Do you think it would hold the same resonance with people as it did in the 70's? I think so. I think the structure of the film, the wrongly accused underdog trying to make it home against overwhelming odds, wo...

Re: ran through
As with any movie, people will just naturally look for bloopers or mistakes in the story to discuss. But the fact is, this film struck a chord with audiences back then and it still does now because it follows the classic traditon of mythic storytelling. A group of 9, an underdog, tries to fight its...

What do you think happened to the Rogue-mobile?
So, the Rogues are obviously leaving that beach in either ambulances or body bags. What do you think happened to their incredible tagged-out hearse? Could the warriors claim it as the spoils of war? Or maybe the riffs trash it and burn it.

Re: The guy that tell's the riffs who really killed cyrus
We'll never know what gang he was from, but it's pretty certain he was not a rogue. Remember, the guy says to Masai "He says he saw who shot Cyrus." If he was a Rogue, the guy would have said "He knows who shot cyrus."

What exactly do you think the Riffs did to the Rogues?
Do you think the Riffs actually killed all the Rogues, or just beat them into near oblivion, or maybe took a few prisoner to torture? Did they leave the bodies on the beach or take them back to the Bronx? I mean, there were like ten rogues or something, right? Could a group like the Riffs really ...

Re: What happened to Cyrus' body?
I don't think there's any way you could really smuggle a dead body past all those cops. I think the cops would find the body, start asking questions, but of course no riffs or anyone else would tell them anything.

Re: Why didn't they just steal a car?
This has always been one of the main complaints of the plot. Why didn't they just steal a truck or van and all just pile in? Any self respecting gang member should have no problem stealing a car. I think it's because the subway was such an essential part of the story, from beginning to end. It li...
