Re: NYC vs. LA

i think if the movie were filmed in Louisiana like you say it would have never been a success. can you imagine if it was filmed in Kansas it wouldnt even be worth watching If it were in Kansas, a tornado would have to take their hangout to the big city - where the clubhouse would land on Cyrus, and...

Van halen og line up black sabbath og line up Ah, the drama that is Van Halen... kick out Dave, Hire Sammy. Kick out Sammy, hire Dave to sing a few songs. Kick out Dave, hire and kick out Sammy again. Hire Gary Cherrone (not sure if that's the right name), kick him out and refuse to acknowledge VH3...

Re: The Office.

I loved this show (U.S. version) through Season 3. It started going downhill a little during Season 4, possibly due to the writer's strike, and I stopped watching completely in the middle of Season 5. It used to seem "smarter" than other comedy series out there, but they apparently started dumbing i...

What band would you most like to see reunite?

A lot of musical groups have come and gone - sometimes they reunite. Which groups would you like to see get back together for another album and tour? Let's stick with groups that all of their members are still living for this topic, or all the members of that particular lineup are still living. I wo...

Batman 3 - coming in 2012

OK, so most of us have enjoyed the current Batman series directed by Christopher Nolan. He says he has finished the script for the third film and expects to release it in 2012. He also says that it will be the last Batman film he makes, and he does want to keep with the feel of the current series. W...

Abrams/Zucker/Abrams - who brought us the Airplane! movies, The Kentucky Fried Movie, and Amazon Women on the Moon - that would make it a pun-filled raunchy comedy.

Not really a secret, but there are some details I don't give away on the Internet. This is one of them.

That would be something. Would it be black-and-white, 16mm, and silent? Maybe with an organist in the theater?

Re: What if The Warriors was directed by someone else?

Directed by Andy Warhol, it would be about 17 hours of The Warriors sitting around and smoking, not saying anything. You would hear the ticking of a clock and a fly buzzing. Rembrandt would be eating a banana.

Kevin Smith?
Spielberg?

Re: What if The Warriors was directed by someone else?

How about Joel Schumaker, who directed the last Batman franchise (before Nolan). That would probably re-introduce the Dingos, with form-fitting vests, complete with nipples molded into the leather. Or John Hughes, with a "Breakfast Club" approach. They could focus on some of the gang members who wer...

What if The Warriors was directed by someone else?

This should be a fun topic. Pick another director, from any point in movie history, to direct The Warriors. Assume the same basic plot and actors - only the director is different. So... who would you pick? Here are a few directors I think would make it interesting: 1. Quentin Tarantino (would be a l...
