Re: Any wrestling fans?
Yes I am. But not for some little reason. I must say that for me, ant wrestling promotion doesn't matter. It could be a small indy like ROH or WWE. I believe a true fan knows about whats going on all over the world. Wheather its watching Senshi fighting Hyabusa in a Zero-one Japanese promotion,...

Re: Movie or Book( not a poll)
Well its hard to decide, sine its usually the book the is the idea that is brought to life. In most cases it is the boo that captures the true message, while the movie destroys it. BUt such movies did do the book justice, such as Michael Crichtons Jurassic Park, or Planet of the Apes, even H.G. We...

Star Tek 2008
Well director J.J. Abrams is making the 11t installment to the star trek stories. Its a prequal therefore having the original characters start off on their first mission. I suppose if it were to end, why not end t from the originals point of view leaving us with the message of the original. "What...

Re: Upcoming Movie trailer (this looks amazing)
Well I just got back from seeing it. Its got the same feeling as the Blair Witch project. This is what makes this movie so different. Rather than having another monster movie with an explanation of where the creature came from, and having some G.I. Joe type of soldiers bringing it down, it focuse...

Re: Akira
Not only is it one of the best anime's, but its the corner stone of animes to break ground internationally. The one thing about the Japanese is that their animation deals with seriousness and complex messages that go beyond everyday children's cartoons. Thats what makes them so special.

Re: Cyrus and the Mafia
Good point eliminator1, so what you are saying is,that no matter what happens, there will always be inevitable bloodshed. So if unifying the mafia and gangs, there either will be rebellion, or a sub group that might gain influence like Cyrus and the Riffs, starting the whole take over cycle again, un...

Re: Cyrus and the Mafia
Well the thing is, I am ot saying that the unted gang will wipeout all of the mafia, but even with all the amilies united, its possible that it just might be a never anding war. With the amount of soilders cyrus assembles and thweapons he gets from the money he produces, the war might not necessari...

Re: Rembrandt Warriors Artist?... Dutch Painter!!!
Oh, theres no question that Walter Hill got the idea for the warrior Rembrandt. The real question is, how come out of all other artists and painters, this one was chosen? Not that its a bad thing, but why this one. Maybe perhaps it because a lot of people do use the name Rembrandt now a days, eve...

Re: Cyrus and the Mafia
Good point, after all this is why Cyrus came up with the whole taking over the crime syndicates toghether. I am sure he realized that petty street gangs were no match for any mafia, whether they were Italian, or black, or any other race. Gangs, were normally misfits who maybe had the heart and will...

Re: The Saracens
Interesting topic. I am gonna have to say that Walter Hill Perhaps wanted a sense of realism, by adding a tribal feeling to the gangs names. For instance rather than naming all of them names such as "Monsters, demons, or the evil doers:, he chose carefully to give them ancient tribal names. After...

Re: I Am Legend
After seeing this, the concept of the movie was really gone. There seemed to be two debates. Did this happen because God wanted to erase aspects of this world, or was it possible that human life could be restored with our own doing. A friend of mine suggested that after Will Smith's character sac...

Re: Why hold a meeting out in the open?
thats a great point. I mean after all it could have been held underground or something. Who knows, perhaps there was no in door location tat could withstand that amount of soldiers. Maybe metaphorically by Cyrus holding the meeting out in the open, he symbolized that "we are no longer going to be...
