Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Ajax
Probably Cleon but I really want to do Snow too since he has never been officially immortalized in plastic. One of those two for sure.

Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Ajax
Thanks for noticing the small details. Believe it or not, the base figure is wearing a form fitting tank top - I just painted it black. With Swan, I had to sand down the shirt edges and wrinkles to make him look shirtless but this time it was just a repaint from white tank to black. The pics dont...

Finished Ajax and wanted to share. 2 down, 7 to go. Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Swan
I've seen some of these before. Lions did a great job capturing the look of the series 1 figures. He did so well on the Turnbull AC, Orphans and Riffs that they look store bought. I'm tempeted to do some rival gangs but I'm forcing myself to stay focused on the Warriors. If Mezco could focus then...

Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Swan
The base figure was the only cost because I have a ton of paints and customizing materials at home - been at the custom figure game for a while. The base costs $19.00 because it's a premium figure that just came out. In a few months the price will drop considerably and I plan to scoop up more.

Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Swan
Whole lotta magic. Actually, the rocker and warbird are from a scan of an actual set of patches. I shrunk them down via the "magic" of computers and printed them on color paper. The paper was laminated with a clear, flat seal (so their is no shine). Then I cut the patches out and glued down onto ...

Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Swan
That body isn't too bad actually. I could see an Ajax pulled out of that. All the other figs would need to be equally buff to make it work but he isn't bad. As far as starting my own company - it's a dream of mine. I've been thinking of writing a book on how to customize actions figures as a firs...

Re: Custom 6" Warriors: Swan
Thanks for the feedback bros. I'm really happy with how he turned out. I have pics of him posted on some custom figure boards and he is generating a lot of heat. Ninth Delegate, Did you use Toybiz wrestlers or Jakks? Got pics? I thought about going the Jakks route because it would be an easy way ...

Custom 6" Warriors: Swan
I bought the whole 1st series of figures since I'd been waiting my whole life to get figures from this movie. Like most of you, I was dissapointed that we never got the whole warriors crew - especially since they would have been easy to manufacture based on all the shared body parts (we were really...

Can we get a pic of your map? Did you add in the gang logos? That would be awesome.

Re: Bought a new vest and need help...
I recently used the same acrylic paint technique to weather the patches on my Mondotees vest. Used watered down black and love the result. I was already planning to do some weathering on the new vest when it arrives - guess i'll have to apply some gold first. I'm bumbed about the size issue. If t...

Re: Bought a new vest and need help...
Thanks 9th Delegate! Knew I could count on your vest analytics. This makes one of my worries go away: I feared the rocker had a white background instead of the off white/gold color. Good to know that isn't the case. Raises another fear: that I bought too large a size. The vest I purchased is a l...

Bought a new vest and need help...
Anyone know where these patches come from? Currious if the patches (the vest for that matter) are from a source we've seen sold before of if this is a new batch. I also have a Mondotee's vest and can do some comparisons when this new vest arrives. You out there 9th Delegate? http://i65.photobucke...

Yep, good eye. Modo is right here in Austin. I might have to hook up with this seller.
