Another Re-colored Mondo Vest

Things have been quiet 'round these parts.  Don't know if another re-colored vest will generate any interest but here is a pic of my vest regardless.

Re: Next Generation of Fans

Thanks man.  Like to start 'em young in our family.  The boys rocked their vests everywhere we went last weekend and felt like rock stars when people recognized their colors.

Next Generation of Fans

Any other irresponsible parents out there who have exposed their kids to The Warriors? I have 11 and 9 year old sons who have become pretty hardcore fans of The Warriors.  So I made them vests and thought I would share.  You can view an enlarged version of the pic below here:  http://i65.photobucket...

Re: How Come Masai Belived The Witness so Easily

In all the Chaos, it seemed like Cleon and the Rogues were the only ones around the Riffs when Luther makes his accusation - so if some guy showed up an described the shooter as a scrawny Rogue with long hair, crazy eyes and a headband instead of a hat (basically a description of the guy who fingere...

Re: WARRIORS VESTS

I actually just completed two vests for my sons doing this very thing.  Well almost.  I bought two vintage vests off ebay then scanned the patches from my vest and got the scans turned into iron-ons at a local printer.  They turned out pretty cool since the scan picked up a little of the embroidered...

Re: Did the Warriors go to a tailor to get their vests?

Nana Cleon's Cookies  :D Too funny!  Someone should make a few batches for the Conlave bake sale. Adam88, do you know if that thread still exists?  I searched and came up short - But I'm interested to see what folks had to say about this.  When you look at the colors that actual 60 & 70's gangs had,...

Did the Warriors go to a tailor to get their vests?

I've been thinking about how specialzed all the gang colors are in the film and trying to think of a plausible way to get so many virtually identical articles of clothing - like the vests and specific patches.  I mean, its not like they could roll up to a tailor and say, "Hey, we got some new initia...

Re: do you reckon swan married mercy

Yeah, I'm going with the two of them tying the knot.  I always looked at Swan's line, "...maybe I'll just take off", to mean that the road home that night was the straw that broke the camels back.  He probably wouldn't have admitted it, but I think he was looking for an excuse to leave thug life beh...

Re: "This is stupid..."

Sounds like something he ad-libed just to keep himself in character.  Shows how in the moment he must have been.  For such a scrawny little punk - Luthers attitude and pyschotic disposition made him quite menacing.  Till he got a poked anyway - the he cried like a girl baby. :)

Re: Transformers [Movie]

I saw the movie on July 2nd and enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away.  I'm not convinced that the designs of the robot modes had to look so busy.  The TF Alternators toy line proves that you can update the TF look and still maintain the traditional , blocky feel from the original series.  Plot: Disappo...

Re: MondoTee Vests

I live in Austin and visited the Mondo shop about a month ago to buy a vest.  They had a decent supply in store when I was in - so you should be able to order right now if you like.

Re: A Clockwork Orange Alex Action Figure

That is a killer custom man!  Now you gotta do his three droogs - that'd be real horroshow.  I'm more familiar with the movie than the book.  Does alex wear a mask and eyeball cuff links in the book?

Re: Delinquent Habits (warriors) album cover

Aside from a killer cover, is the album any good?  Do any of the songs have Warriors references or samples?

Re: Wikipedia is wrong.

Funny how Chuck Norris infiltrates almost every message board eventually

And for the record, Chuck Norris and the walrus commandos really did defeat the Vietnam troops.  The government covered it up due to pressure from PETA.  I looked it up on Chuck Norris Facts and it's all there.

Re: 50 to 100 miles from here

This makes me wonder if anyone has ever calculated how much of the 30 mile distance they covered on foot vs. by subway.

Shouldn't be too hard to do since every gang they encounter is easily traced back to a turf.

Surely one of us has done the math.
