Re: Has any of you ever been to Coney island?

About the only thing that remains from the movie at Stilwell Av. station is the interlocking tower (seen behind Mercy and Swan after they get off that morning. The bldg with the semaphores in front).  Otherwise, a ton of $$$$$ was put into re-doing the station a few yrs ago.

Re: Razor King

Listened to it on the youtube. Intense. Would have fit in with the movie, except that it didn't come out until like 20 years after the movie. Check it out anyways, guys!

Re: Razor King

Ha, ha...  When I saw the name of this thread, Sully came to mind, the way he threatened the Warriors with that barber's razor.
Naw, seriously, I'll give it a listen.

Re: worst gang

The Rogues. To side-step for a sec, I've heard a couple of people say that if Ajax had taken over the leadership of the Warriors, he more than likely would have gotten everybody killed.  Now, with a psycho like Luther... same thing, as what most likely wound up happening at Coney to him and his gang...

Re: New York City: from the 1960s to today

GramercyRiff... Congrats!  That was a great post, esp. with the website you threw in.  I'm sure I'll go back to it at least a few more times, not only because I'm drawn to even that kind of photography (I've been doing some in gritty sections myself lately), but it's one way to get pumped up over th...

Well, all of you know what I think about: They didn't eat anything. OK, but now, stevo gave me an Idea... They are from Coney, Right? So... maybe, this is what there "REALLY" was in Rembrandt's Bag: http://digilander.libero.it/ran.s/ConeyDog.jpg THE CONEY HOT-DOG!!! Just a Joke!!! Yeah!!! :lo...

Re: The Night Before Christmas: Warriors Style

Hahahaha I'm probably gonna' recite that every christmas i have! That's a good idea, 9721.  I think we all should do that every Christmas. GramercyRiff...  don't know how you do it.  I guess writing poetry is something one either can or can't do. Ajax would be taking a job at the mall!  That's wher...

Re: Whose the worst Warrior

Swans weakness...... Pride. He could have avoided confrontation with the orphans if he would have walked 2 blocks without wearing colors. I was wondering about that.  Some, including myself, might think that Sully wanted the Warriers to give up their vests completely in order to soldier through.  I...

Re: Whose the worst Warrior

Like someone said elsewhere, because of Ajax's hard-headedness, if he had taken over as leader, he most likely would have gotten everybody killed. Good point, btw, about the risk of his catching something because of his horniness. But most of all, and this is something I'm really big against.  Pride...

Heh, heh, heh....
I do tend to get nick-picky.  Always have. Always will.  It's in the blood!
That being said, if I were in a gang, I'd be the info guy, or in military terms - intelligence.

Re: what if the warriors used firearms?

If the "featured" gang is having to use their skills to dodge bullets, use what they can to ricochet them, or possibly even sabotage a rival's pieces, that's one thing, but other than that, I'm another who disagrees with the use of guns in a gang movie.  They're a crutch.  They're for those who can'...

Re: Whose the worst Warrior

There's that one line Cowboy says that cracks me and a chum up:  "Hey Ajax! Lighten up!"  It's how he says it that has us quoting it as if Vermin had his hands wrapped around Cowboy's throat (Vermin was standing behind him). As far as who's the worst......    well, each one has his own characteristi...

Re: Did You know???

Ok Swan.  I stand corrected.  Sorry about that, guy.
I did go back and re-read the statement before making my last post, but I guess I wasn't really paying att'n.

Until we bump into each other in another thread, keep on boppin', dude!
