the latest on Astroland?

I guess this question would be directed at members from Greater NY.....

Any new news about Astroland Amusement Park (Coney Is.) as far as whether or not it closes for good after this summer?

Re: Real people who look like movie cast members.

FOR WHAT???!!!!

Sorry, just had to do that!

I had a co-worker who, when his hair is messed up, looks a little like a German version of Sully.  Has the same lanky build and posture, too, but no lazy eye.

Re: Did You know???

Swan, You've given me some favorable responses to a few of my posts and I appreciate the encouragement, but I gotta tell ya:  If I understood your last statement correctly, you were saying that you don't think angvav is a good member.  This guy's only been on here for 2 weeks.  He's probably still l...

Re: 'Things that remind you of The Warriors Movie?'

The other day, on the train out of Poughkeepsie (NY), I happened to be looking out the window and saw an exit off Rt. 9 for Fox St.  Then, I remembered S. Swan St. in downtown Albany.  Runs right by the capitol.  N. Swan runs through Arbor Hill, which has had the rep for being one of the roughest ho...

I'm with ya on that.  Once that adrenaline takes over, you're not thinking about that new sandwich they just came out with, or that super-saver meal, besides, try running for your life on a full stomach!

Re: Warriors don't eat or drink anything throughout the nigh

When they got on the train in Coney, if you look carefully, you can see Cochise chewing on something, probably gum.  Gum's not food, so that doesn't count.

Re: Ever Used Any Warriors Lines In Real Life?

In the cemetary scene, Swan tells everybody to meet at Union Sq. if they get separated. Then Ajax abruptly said, "I only got one question....  " I have a co-worker, who doesn't get startled that easily.  He knows the movie. I, very quietly, sneak up on him and go, " I only got one.....  (loud at the...

crows on the subway?

After Cochise cracked that joke about the "too high math for Rembrandt!", the others laugh.  Right before Fox's line, one of them makes a noise like a crow.  Anybody have an idea who did that?
(I know it wasn't 50 cent ( as in his "This Is How We Do") lol  He would have been in kindergarten then.)

Saint Snow (?)

Snow was pretty well behaved.  He was the only Warrior who didn't swear.  Recently realized this for some reason.  I guess I was running out of ideas for trivia at the time. Cleon was next best, but then he didn't last long.  "The other way!  Against the crowd!  And keep your ass down!  Down!"  (con...
