Re: Here's an idea..

Another one to add to the list of those we should honor at C'09, of course, is Paul Greco, who, as many of us should know by now, died just before last Christmas.  Lung cancer.

Re: Ajax appreciation thread.

In Renaissance Man, he played Capt. Murdock.  Although he was funny in Warriors, he made a pretty good military figure.

Re: When and how did you get your first copy of 'The Warrior

Probably 5 or 6 yrs ago, I was at this huge farmer's market, which is popular with us Philadelphians, who like to escape to near-by Penn Dutch country now and then. I'm looking through this guy's thousands of tapes for whatever and... there it was.  It was a little beat up, but, ehhh, 3 bucks? it'll...

Re: Coney Island Souvenir Shops

When you get off the subway, go out the main entrance. That's Surf Av.  Right in front of you is Popeye's.  Across the street from that is the Original Nathan's Hot Dogs. This is Stillwell that crosses Surf. Walk one block down Stillwell towards the beach.  Look to your left down Bowery and you'll r...

Re: Coney Island Souvenir Shops

Thanks for the advice. As I am from the UK and I am not familiar with NYC, is Coney Island a safe place to go and visit? Is it somewhere I can walk around freely with my girlfriend, or are there area's to avoid? It's an ethnic mix.  This area is mainly African-American, Russian, Italian, some Hispa...

Re: Coney Island Souvenir Shops

What would be the easiest way to get down to Coney if you are staying in Manhatten? Will it be the subway, and how long a trip would that be? The subway will be the quickest transportation to Coney from Manhattan. It is pretty cheap, too. The D, F, N, or Q train will take you to Stillwell Avenue in...

Not so much what the second line is, but the way she says it and how it works in with the other lines (in a way, is amusing to me)....

Mercy:  Can we stop for a minute? I'm sick of this crap! My legs are getting tired.

If there's over a hundred Furies, that can give the ol' imagination a workout.  Lotsa different colors available out there.

Good to see another with Welsh blood here. :)

Re: Gas Station location found!!!

Even though I've got a money situation, I said "screw it" and went to NY yesterday.  Went to Bowery and Great Jones, and it's still there (thought it would be).  Boy, it's a way smaller spot than the movie makes it.  Got my pics and I want to post them, but I'm still in the Dark Ages about computers...

Re: John Amos(As Cyrus)

J. Amos is great and he's a big guy, but, if The Warriors had been done in the early 70s, I could see him up there on the platform, however, it would blow to see him get offed. But what about Roger Hill?  Well, he may be at Conclave '09. I'll go meet him and tell him I'm sorry he got killed 31 yrs a...
