when this conclave happens they should have screening of the movie towards the night and they should
sell t-shirts and vest

UPDATE

Ok, despite the massive amount of support for this, it is taking ages to get off the ground as it is just me and my team of moderators.

I have started putting the feelers out for potential partners for the event. We will need a fair bit of money to set up a decent event. I am trying NetFlix and I also heard from Tony Scott / Skip Chaisson a while back who were also very interested. I mentioned the 30th anniversary to them and I guess it might link in nicely with the new movie coming out.

I am also aware that we want to do something as a forum at the event, so whilst it might be easier to work in partnership with someone on a screening and venue to meet the cast, we can meet as a group and visit the locations used in the movie. I am not sure NYC will know what has hit it when we all arrive (especially if some of you are in vests etc!).

We've got just over a year now so hopefully we can pick up the momentum and get something going!

If you live in NYC or Coney and think you could really offer some help in sorting out this Conclave, please drop me a PM!

Thanks.
The one and only!

war chief, this is where you can book most of the boys (and some other people) for the CONCLAVE. http://www.conventionallstars.com/clients.htm  As far as a place to have it, they are building new convention places down in coney. i don't think they will be ready next year, but there might be something down (hotels, VFW HALL, etc) there that is affordable, especially if you do it off season (fall-winter). would love to help organize and i am in nyc. let me know.

I know an exact date is a bit to much to ask for at this stage, but have the collective come to a decision on which month it will be held?  Need to put in the prelim holiday bookings at work before somebody else beats me to the dates I want time off for.

David Harris takes bookings for conventions via his Myspace page.  Debrah V V has recently set herself up with a myspace page to get in contact.  Both are regulars on the convention scene, so the only problem I could think of for booking them, was if the date of our conclave clashes with anything they have already been booked out for.
