Post by ajax »

WHILST BROWSING THE NET TODAY(4TH JULY 2005)I CAME ACROSS A MOVIE TRIVIA SITE (www.imdb.com) AND WAS SAD TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF TWO MORE CAST/STUNT MEMBERS.
A.J.BAKUNAS WHO PLAYED ONE OF THE PUNKS IN THE BATHROOM BRAWL
AND STEVEN JAMES(aka steve w.james)WHO PLAYED ONE OF THE FURIES

STEVE DIED OF PANCREATIC CANCER IN 1993 AGED JUST 41

A.J DIED IN 1978* AGED JUST 27 IN A STUNTING ACCIDENT. *ALTHOUGH THE DATE OF DEATH IS GIVEN AS 1978 STEVE IS CREDITED IN MOVIES UP UNTIL 1980(INC.THE WARRIORS 1979)THIS IS THE MOVIES RELEASE DATE AS OPPOSED TO THE FILMING DATE.

IF YOU VISIT THE FOLLOWING SITE www.stuntplayers.com/memorial THERE IS A WRITE UP ABOUT AJ INCLUDING HOW HE WAS KILLLED AND ALSO A PICTURE OF HIM.THERE IS ALSO A FILMOGRAPHY ON BOTH

I wasn't aware of this...there are some real treasures in the old posts...very sad to hear of this...even if it has been a few years ago.

This is indeed a time for reflecting, even though their deaths were a hundred yrs. ago.

Bakunas did look like the one who stood between Sheehan and the big blond when they were watching Swan.

Found that James was in The Wanderers, too.  Didn't get to check who he played.  I don't know which Fury he played.  Does anybody know what color his face was?

I think he was the Fury with the purple face, but I might be wrong.

A J Bakunis is the punk wearing the red black and white jersey and bears a resemblance to crocodile hunter Steve Irwin.  He's the one that mercy bites if your still unsure.

Steve James is probably best known for his American Ninja films.  Heres the link to his face paint colour
