Why didnt Swan go with Snow & Cowboy to check on Ajax?

If he was till pissed about Ajax defying his authority,I could understand.But it seems like it could have been a disastrous idea to split up so he could "go look for the others".Also why did the punks wait so long to make their move on Swan when he was alone?what were they waiting for?

i think he did that becos he knew he was know the leader and the leaders job is to make sure that all of his warriors are safe,so i thought it was only right he done that becos he cud trust snow to look after himself and cowboy while he was gone.if i was thier warlord and i knew they cud handle thierselves i wud go look for the others as well,becos at that moment he was probally thinkin that it wudnt be a good idea if he just left all of them behind without hearing a word from them.i think that the punks were waitin so long so they cud calculate every move he was doin and watin to see when the right moment was to attack but of course they didnt get very far haha!!

Swan was a skilled tactician – one example of this was how he split the four off into two factions during the Furies fight, so he could attack from the rear (essentially turning being hunted into a two-pronged attack)

As he likely considered Ajax’s move to be a vey poor tactical maneuver, he felt very strongly about not deviating from the initial plan

Swan was probably mad at Ajax when they've had their conversation so he said to Snow and Cowboy to look out for him. The only thing he wanted as a warlord is to be together, as a team, a gang, all of them... Not separated miles away, just to come home safely. He said if they gone separated just to make on the Union Square, so they knew where to go.
