haha small world huh Godfather? Chances are we've bumped into eachother at vroman's and didn't even know it.

Had no idea that the VGV tag was referencing BOULEVARD NIGHTS. Very cool.

GIGOLO was released in February of 1980 and actually filmed and completed in '79 so it makes sense that WARRIORS would still be playing. Or, the GIGOLO production team placed the WARRIORS items there and dressed the theater for their shoot. Certainly a possibility since both are Paramount films.

The black WARRIORS poster with the VGV graffiti actually looks to be a sign, which would be very rare today as those tended to be large and hard to store and suffered damage from weather and other elements, as the VGV graffiti indicates.

Later, WARRIORS and GIGOLO shared a double bill, which I wrote about here:

VGV = Varrio Grande Vista, who were at war with 11th Street in "Boulevard Nights".
