Enough about the bottle, I also say it wasn't used as a weapon, but and correct me if I am wrong (since I am a newbie), but a LONG TIME fan of this flick, but didn't Swan break the oath? I'll let ya stew on this one for a while and see what ya come up with......not being arrogant or anything, just trying to join in this discussion as well so I can move forward, but I noticed no one mentioned this and I am curious to what you say regarding this threads topic.

Think of the bottle as a "back-up plan."

If something went down, the bottle could be used as a Molotov or they could break it and use it as a stabbing weapon. Then again, maybe they brought it to drink, and it just turned out to be useful as you said. Who knows.

Luther definetly broke the rules bringing that Revolver. But he got his.

Where did the bottle come from?

Post by KillerMime »

Did they have the bottle at the beginning? I know Snow had the radio, but I never saw him with a bottle and I don't think they showed him pick one up. Maybe a deleted scene?

He always had the bottle, on the string around his neck, he never did have to carry it?

I haven't seen anywhere where Swan broke the oath?? He also never took the oath--Cleon spoke for all of them. But I didn't see him with anything at the conclave itself, and the oath more or less applied to only the conclave-the problem was if you didn't have a weapon going in---you wouldn't have one on the way home either.

YOu will have to be more specific with your scenes.
You never see him with anything until after the conclave broke up---then of course like this thread starts they used the cocktail and of course he took the knife away from the punks and bats away from the Furies---but except for helping Ajax kick down the board fence---I never saw him with any thing at or during the meeting, but I have missed things before, and learned about them here.
Please explain where you are coming from with that so the rest of us can see.
