What happens to Ajax after he gets arrested?

they just arrested him and nothing else happened with him.

I was actually thinking about this the other day. He would have been taken to the nearest precinct and booked for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. Both serious charges, so no bail set. He probably would spend a day or so in jail, then get sent to Riker's Island for a few months at least until he was sentenced.
Assuming Ajax had some kind of prior record, they would have sent him to some medium security prison upstate for at least two or three years.

its highly likely a character such as ajax would have a previous record so i dont think he would get off too lightly

Thats even if he lived the night. alot of gangs got busted, all in the same holding cell. Ajax's is tuff, but how tuff?

hes my favorite aswell dude,reality is though word would spread that the warriors were wanted for wasting cyrus and in jail alone probably with other gang members around it doesnt look good for him

This is an excellent point. There is a possability that if Ajax was asaulted in a holding cell they would put him in a sepporate cell. Then again that's me thinking in present day terms. Back then, I'm not sure.

I would like to think that pre-existing gang rivalries etc. may give Ajax some friends. Enemy-of-my-enemy kind of friends. If this were the case, he migh thave been able to survive till morning when word got round that The Warriors weren't to blame after all.

I'm not so sure about how he would do in an actual prison. Today's street gangs have branches on the inside so you just hook up with your homies once you get there. Does anyone know if that was the case during the late 70's early 80's.

i seriosly think he got japped, i mean there was probably 50+ gang members arrested. also the cop he hit probably got to take a few shots on him especially since it was NYC late 70s i mean that just screams police brutality

I like Ajax too......but it doesnt look good for him in the clink. As some have said before.....they busted alot of members that nite and who knows how many people he japped on the outside.

Good point, of all The Warriors, Ajax is the one who is most likely make enemies and thus the most likely to have enemies in jail that night.

i think ajax, go 2 prison,get into a cell with cleon .they talk and talk and spend there time in jail few years past they go back 2 coney meet up wit warriors warriors share wat been thru the end!

nvm i do think ajax should go 2 prison with some unhealthy foes. they try 2 fight him ajax whips them and next mornin they found out that he is innocent?

I definitely think Ajax would survive the night. He's tough enough and crafty enough. Although he's a hothead, he's a survivor first. He'd waste a few heads in jail and get their respect. My theory is, once Ajax actually gets to prison, he starts his own gang.
