Ajax error.

In the park scene when Ajax is vying for leadership, both him and Swan are facing each other. However, when they cut to a wider shot when it's clear Ajx has lost he's suddenly facing away from Swan.

Probably mentioned somewhere else here I just noticed it this last go around of watching the movie.

I think he is emissary. We have discussed this one before. It actually looks like Ajax could have been hit in the face. It is a quick cut and no one really knows why his head is down.

OK I just looked at that several times. When Swan says, "make your move" they move closer and adjust their angle. When it cuts away, Ajax is looking down. I don't think that there was any hit because he would have reacted to it. Ajax was only stopped there by his friends words.

I agree with ya there emissary. Ajax may have backed down whe nhe realized no one was going to back his play but he wouldn't have let anyone get away with puttin gthere hands on him. Least of all hit him.
And yes, I did mean the cemetary. Sorry about that, my mind goes faster than my fingers.

I guess all I can do is play you a song.

No one said he was hit. His head just appears that way in the scene.

You know what could have happened there. We've already discovered at least two Fox scenes that were edited or done with a double. I think Fox might have said some strong words to Ajax there. Now I know that seems crazy coming from me. But we do see Ajax show respect to Fox after the "strange wool" line. Even though its Cleon who says "You just soldier..." It's Fox standing in front of him.

It couldn't have been FOx or a Fox stand in Ajax was talking to because Walter Hill said that those things were shot during the editing of the movie and the editor suggested that he not go with a daytime shot. I still think he was tlking to Cleon when we see the back of the guy Ajax's talking to he's just not wearing his headpiece.

At the time of the "you just soldier...." line, that was Fox, the real one, that Ajax was reacting to. Look at the chain.

has anyone noticed that wen fox is running with mercy near the tracks b4 he get killed its clearly a stunt double of fox and he trys 2 hide his face n it just doesnt sound like fox at all aswell

The "you just soldier line" at the beginning of the film, where it's a tight shot and it's inter-cut with them horsing around on the train." That is what you are talking about when you say Ajax is talking to Fox. RIght?

Ok, if it is. Then What I was saying is that Walter HIll, in the special Features of the Director's Edition DVD says that those scenes were shot during the editing process which took place after the main film was shot. If that is so, than Thomas Waites had left the film by then.
I have watched that scene and it is a black guy Ajax is talking to. My assumption is that it's Dorsey Wright without his headpiece.
