the orphans

Post by Oxygen »

the thing i dont get in the movie is why did the warriors run from the orphans i mean there the lowest gang so what if its 30 on 8 even fox and rembrant would have taken out at least 3 each.

the warriors fought the furies and the punks 2 of the heaviest gangs and they run from the orphans?

I think there were just too many orphans to mess with.  The Warriors saw a bunch but they didn't know if there were more so they threw the Molotov to cover splitting.  The Punks at least were a certain known number of enemies that they figured they could handle.  Even if the Orphans were lame there was just an unklnown number of them to mess with.

4 to one odds are pretty hard to beat even for the Warriors vs the Orphans. Am a huge Orphans fan so I'm glad you cut em a little slack SHM ;) or I think you did.

LOL
well, yes, and no!
we always learned bring everybody you can, in that sort of situation!
a body, is a body!!!
even if it's not a "tuff" body!
it's still a "body" to contend with, and it occupies an enemy "body"
so to speak!

as far as numbers were concerned, the orphans shoulda been able to take the warriors.
they had the greatest "number" advantage of any of the gangs the warriors came in contact with, except for maybe the turnbulls!

You couldnt be more right! Even if they are wimps ,if theres 30 wimps against 8 good brawlers you're pretty much done for. Please trust me on this, I've had first hand experience about this. There wasnt 8 of us and thirty of them but kinda the same comparison. I dont really want to get into it but lets just say.   me,friends, outnumbered by wimps= very bad beating from wimps

Plus I don't think the Furies or the Punks were really planning to let them go anywhere without a rumble.  The Furies chased them for a couple of blocks and the Punks pretty much backed them into a corner.

I see what you mean but i don't agree that the Punks backed them into a corner . The way i see it the Warriors lured them in when the numbers were equal and did to them what they did best , just my opinion.

They had no choice but to fight the furies and the punks, the orphans however they didnt need to fight, and were not worth the time. If anything news that the warriors beat the orphans down would make other gangs laugh.

The Orphans not only outnumbered them, but The Warriors were on unfamiliar territory. They fought The Furies out of neccessity and they were able to lure The Punks into manageable suroundings.
