WOW I don't go to Ain't It Cool for four days and look what I miss!

But that is GREAT news, that the new DVD will actually have stuff added to the film, as opposed to a mere re-release of the first DVD with commentaries...I for one and PSYCHED!!!!
Big Cyrus. He was gonna run the whole city...what crap that was.

I was just to my favorite dvd selling Website, and right now they are listing a dvd movie:
The Warriors Director's Cut Edition
distribution date 10/04/05

BUT at this time, they have NO other information listed, no director, no year or stars nothing.
So I have emailed them and asked IF it is the '79 Walter Hill movie that they are listing for pre-sale.
Hoping they get back to me soon, as of right now anyway, they are listing it for around $13.56. with free shipping and you can buy it now on presale.

Just went to Amazon.com, and they are listing it for 13.99-also available for buy it now, get billed when they ship it to you I think. don't know about the shipping charges.

Well not to be a stick in the mus as I would love a directors cut it would be nice to include both versions ! I guess at least owning the first release of this movie wont be such a bad thing so you can watch it as you remeber it before they tinker with it.

Still I'm as keen as heck to see any new additions alterations etc

Unfortunately, the cover will be the wretched new nonposter instead of the real one.

Perhaps R2 will have a normal one.

I didn't put on the website:

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com

You can find it using the "Director" search of Walter Hill or title search of
The Warriors (on page 5) they now have the description so I know it is the right one.
and it lists for 13.56 with free shipping.
You can order it now, with credit card, and they bill you when it ships I believe, I have used the feature before, though not this far ahead.

Amazon also has it listed for 13.99 don't know about shipping.

just for information: I just got an email back from deepdiscounts:
they are listing two movies, exactly the same price.
Warriors directors cut
and Warriors Ulitmate Directors Cut

according to what they said below--we all want the ULTIMATE directors cut.

Quote:
The ultimate director's cut has more extras. It has deleted scenes, commentaries, and more bonus material. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Again, thank you for writing DeepDiscountDVD.com. We appreciate your business. :Quote

"This is gonna be a big item". Why are they releasing two? Madness. It looks like the original DVD will become a collectors item then as it appears it will be replaced.
The one and only!
