We know them as the Prom Couples because that's how the end credits address them.

Exactly. That is the most akward moment in the movie in my eyes. There is a little hidden mesage*dont be ashamed in who you are, theyre not better than you* I think swan sends that clear message to mercy in the film.

I like the little nod that one of the prom guys does after Swan pulls Mercy's hand away from her hair. He's almost saying: "Okay man. I understand why you did that. This IS a little uncomfortable." I don't think they were scared of the Warriors... I think there was an air of respect there, and I think that's the real reason they got off at the next stop. They knew they didn't really 'fit' the scene.

Clever really innit, how no actual words are being said, yet the scene says so much  :D.
Hold your tongue...

I think we all like the fact that swan tells the couple, "we don't have to change ourselves for the likes of you, your no better than us."  I know we would always like to say this to some people, but I like to be realistic.  I mean, when I graduated and had my prom, I said to myself, "now this is the life" I actually don't see the warriors as a game. We all don't want to admit it, but i would rather be the prom couple, except I would never judge others. We all walk through life not getting the posesions we want, as walk that lonely path.  But when we do get what we want, would we really want to trade it for a life of crime. Lets be realistic now. I can't stand the prom couple, but if you were a prom couple, what would you do?
