Who set that goddamn fire?

Post by warriorchick »

ranchgal--i do like your idea about the turnbulls also. they did look like real losers standing on the platform yelling at a train pulling out!!! and just before that, having ajax flip them off must have really jerked their chain. they did look like the type to go hunting for another chance. the thing that doesn't click is--they didn't stick around for the fight. it is a good theory though. ;)

remember, all of them except swan, felt they were 'home free' right before the fire stopped the train. so fox would have been just a bit upset that things weren't moving as smoothly as they had assumed. maybe a bit paranoid?

Well I wonder, like Gonzo, if it could have been an accident I would expect the gang to be right out side the station ready for them....erm um but having said that the police would be everywhere....erm um but then the warriors would have got racked? um erm....
To be honest I just always assumed it was a Riff or a simple mate of a Riff who was at hand after the Turnbull's let the Riffs know where abouts the Warrioirs were at......erm um.

the only thing about that is--- all the riff members kept reporting to masai that their patrols were coming up empty handed. all the reports were about all the other gangs that were running into the warriors and getting wasted. so basically, the riffs were pretty clueless as to the warriors whereabouts too!!

On the updated Warriors game website each gang has their own little video segment. The Warriors have the video of the Wonder Wheel Spinning, the Hi-Hats have the shot of them entering the subway, and the video of the fire on the tracks is in the Savage Huns section.....cool.

In the Warriors video game website it shows the subway fire on the savage huns part of the website. It might have been the huns

Maybe but I doubt it. The Huns mention "Chinatown" in that clip which is nowhere near where the fire/Orphans were.

Is it not possible that a number of fires were started on various lines as to slow down the Warriors from getting home. In this scenio it would most likely have been one of the Riffs patrols.

However if the fire was started by a gang it is unlikely they would have hung around due to the police attending the scene.

i think that it is one of the smaller gangs unknown who set the fire but dont wanna get caught by the cops so dont hang around.

i definately dont think its the turnbulls or the orphans.

i dont really think its teh rogues or riffs either cos they dont know where the warriors are.

could it be the lizzies? maybe they wanna make sure the warriors have to make tracks on foot before there turf so they can try get em.

the more thought I give this, the more I agree with WC that it is short in the electrical within the subway systems.
More bad luck coincidence than anything else.

NONE of the gangs were that organized, none knew specifically (except the Turnbulls) which station the Warriors actually hopped on,
and they were left far behind, and would never know where exactly the Warriors planned to get off.

With a major city fire, with the cops/firefighters/rescue worker that would be called to deal with it, no one would dare hang around to see IF the Warriors were actually still on that train, and which way they would go when they hopped off.
Too much attention, too many people, and NOT enough real opportunity for an actual confrontation----I don't think that ANY of the gangs had any thing to do with the fire at all.
I think that Fox was just being paranoid---justifiably paranoid, but paranoid none the less, They didn't really know that anyone was actually looking for them at that time---he was just speaking on the side of being aware, and safety. That is my changed opinion.

I don't believe the fire was started by either The Orphans or by coincidence. I always had a feeling that it had something to do with The Riffs possibly. The subway lines being the obvious way out of the Bronx for The Warriors, The Riffs, being such a huge gang, could have had some "specialists" light some fires on the various tracks, or maybe just the one line up until that point, to slow The Warriors down if they were indeed taking the subway.

And if not The Riffs, maybe some fast-thinking gang that didn't stick around because after all, a subway line fire and there's a gang sitting there watching? The cops would love that lol. And about not hiding to wait to pounce on The Warriors, perhaps who set the fire was/were already on the way to the next line to set another fire.

But then again...the MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority) *SUCKS* now and sure sucked even much worse then, so maybe it WAS a coincidence!
Big Cyrus. He was gonna run the whole city...what crap that was.

Well you brought up one thought that we really haven't given any coverage too--there is the possibility that the fire was set---but it was by an arsonist or pyromaniac that just likes to see things burn, and all the hoopla that accompanies public fires---and that even though it may have been set deliberately---it had NOTHING to do with the WARRIORS or any of the gangs--one man nut-job working alone.

Maybe it was set by a gang who thought it may drag a lot of police to the area so a lot of gangs trying to get home from the meeting would have less police on there back?

Since it was supposedly the 4th of July, it might have been a rogue firework! I am not implying that the Rogues set it off!
