I always thought pretty much what the game said. Please, I'm not crossing over, it's the truth. And there's proof in the film. I figured they had a little W for things such as the Graveyard scene, A big burner for their hangout, like the one in the deleted scene, and one bigger than the little W to insult other gangs by putting a more detailed burner on their turf. Makes pretty good sence to me.
