Re: Warriors References?
I'm currently reading Chris Jericho's autobiography. One of the chapters is called "Can you dig it?"; so called because he compares a speech addressed to the ECW wrestlers by Paul Heymen, to that of Cyrus in the movie; rallying the troops to get them hyped up.

It's funny you have mentioned Motley Crue. When I think about them the first thing that comes to my mind is the song/video "Girls Girls Girls". 100% Ajax.CAN YOU DIG IT wrote:Book: Tattoos & Tequila

This guy is not only genius when it comes to ranting about today's talentless excuses for music artists, but theres a Warriors reference at the very end of this video.

Re: Warriors References?
The South London rap crew Hijack had a record called 'Style Warriors Revenge' back in 1990 which has a few Warriors references. It starts and ends with a radio DJ that is clearly based on the Warriors radio DJ, he starts by saying I guess all we can do is play a record for you. Also at the start of the second verse the lyric goes 'The style warriors came out to play...'.

Also NWA did a track called '100 Miles and Runnin' which is loosely based on a similar story to the Warriors in that it is a gang/crew on the run, it even has a scene in the video that is obviously based on the radio DJ when she plays 'Nowhere to run' for them, it's just after the 3 minute mark...

Re: Warriors References?
I loved that NWA video. There were so many WARRIORS references before pop-culture was flooded.Riff wrote:The South London rap crew Hijack had a record called 'Style Warriors Revenge' back in 1990 which has a few Warriors references. Re: Warriors References?
A very strong references or just a homage to The Warriors rap music video done by the Dipset crew called Crunk Muzik featuring Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, and Cam'Ron. Click HERE. LOL if you saw the movie it's pretty obvious.
