I just thought that I would mention this - the other day I was talking to a girl who is in one of my classes, and we were talking about movies, so I mentioned The Warriors, and she did an impression of Luther's "Warriors, come out to play" and we started talking about it, and I asked her if she liked it, and she said she thinks it's a pretty good film.

cowboy rules, your frends probably think it is chessey because of the way it looks. However, that is the way it was supposed to look. The movie was made to be cartoon like and comic book like, Hense the comic style of the directors cut. That is why it looks cheesey.

When everyone is on the beach and Luther says, "This time you got it wrong." BLECH. I hate that line. I hate how it's said, I hate everything about it. I'd skip over it, but it's a pivitol part of the movie.
Heh. What i find cheesey is Swans line in that scene

"the best"

Arrggh!!
Also when Ajax wants to be warchief, and Cowboy, Snow and Cochise say:
"Hey Ajax lighten up" -  Not Cheesy
"Big Boy, Swans warchief!" -  Not cheesy
"We better stick together" - I Smell wensleydale!! Its just the way Cochise says it!

"The best" is a pivotal line in the script.  It acknowledges the respect given by the top gang in the city.
