At the end when they get back to Coney. Swan seems like he wants out. Did Swan and Mercy hook up leave the gang and go far away like they said.  Or did they stick around and rebuild the gang? IF they did split then with who would be the next warchief with Cleon and Ajax gone.     

I think this was already posted, but my thoughts are that they both did leave although there is no real evidence of that in the movie and in the game they stay.  I would think that maybe Cochise or Snow would take over the gang without Cleon, Ajax, and Swan.

you cant really answer that because the film finishes on the beach, but i dont think swan would abandon his friends, they seemed lost without him in a way

I think it could work either way as to whether Swan leaves the gang.

As their journey home progressed, he seemed to become more disillusionned with the gang life, especially when they finally make it back to Coney. Hard to blame him, they've been wrongly accused of murder and marked for death, lost two good friends along the way (three if you want to count Ajax's arrest) and any small hope of the gang life leading to something bigger and better died with Cyrus.

Both Swan and Mercy seemed to be hoping for something better out of their lives. Plus meeting Mercy gives him something else in his life outside of the gang that he probably didn't have before.

On the other hand, there is the loyalty to the gang. These guys are all his friends, and with what they've been through together the bond is probably stronger than ever. Like Stevo said, the other remaining members are probably looking to him for guidance.

exactly good point theswan we agree on quite alot it seems . rules are rules
