With everything that has been released for the 30th anniversary (meaco 9", ecko clothing, beincogneato costumes, xbox video-game, dabel comics, sideshow baseball furies, 80's tees) and 2009 almost over, has anyone heard about a 30th anniversary dvd??

A 30th anniversary dvd would be cool but I'm not so sure there will be one even though I hope they do. I'm not a big fan of the "Directors Cut" as I think the comic book scenes slow down the momentum of the film. My favourite version is the t.v. one which had the warriors on the boardwalk during the day at the beginning of the film. I must admit I would like to see a version with all the deleted scenes added, I live in hope!

Ive not heard any plans, only wishful thinking from fans. Its been released on dvd 3 times now (not including blu ray), the last release being a budget title. I'd assume theres still a lot of copies stockpiled somewhere. IF they did a 30th anniversary special, I would assume they would re-release the directors cut dvd (maybe change its menu), and then have a second disk to bump the price up. This disk would have the deleted tv scenes and footage taken from the conclave Q&A sessions (that footage has got to be used for something, right?)
This is all purely speculation on my part, so don't go writing your christmas list to santa just yet.

given that they'd want to have taken advantage of the hoopla already, i don't have much hope that there's anything pending
My hopes are higher for a release of just the Conclave events from Matt Beckoff

At the 2009 Conclave, were there cameras filming the event? Really - the film was made on a skimpy budget and it has made lots of money for all involved - I hope that I am still living to see a more complete, footage filled version of this movie some day

They re-package the Directors cut, add the deleated scenes and opening. Also, add the CONCLAVE 09 event @ Coney and they have a 30th anniv. dvd.......I am not too sure PARAMOUNT Has given up on this.

Great idea Lier One, I think that would be the best way to go in relation to celebrating the 30th Anniversary, especially in Blu Ray!!!

Don't think there will be a 30th anniversary DVD.
I still can't understand how the Ultimate version did not include the deleted scenes, how did they not include the intro scene on the boardwalk?
I would love to have a full version with the deleted scenes added.
Props to the documentary on the Ultimate edition though, I have watched it a few times and it's great.
