Here's Food for Thought...

Post by union_jack »

on the IMDB trivia page for Hard Times (1975) - Walter Hill directorial debut...

"In a 2006 interview director Walter Hill mentioned that he had been critical of the performance of Jill Ireland, who was Charles Bronson's wife at the time. When Hill went to Bronson's home to discuss this, Bronson wouldn't shake Hill's hand - he just showed Hill in and poured him a drink. Hill said that he would have liked to work with Bronson on other films, but that Bronson refused to work with Hill again."

So maybe Bronson could have been in The Warriors if Bronson hadn't been offended by Hill. Let's dream of the endless possibilities

one caveat, however

Bronson was born November 3rd 1921, making him already close to 60 by the time of the filming...

lol I wasnt seriously considering him as one of the warriors

i dunno he'd make a pretty hysterical Riff...

"hey boyo who are the warriors?"

and anyway Bronson was still in his prime in his 60s xD

his career didnt kick off till his mid 50s, Bronson makes getting wrinkly look good

He would be good as Masai, he looked like a quiet guy, keeping a low profile.

Being that Hollywood is all about the remakes these days, they should remake some of Bronson's films and cast Danny Trejo in the role.

thats quite a good call actually. though i saw a picture on the internet that compared josh hartnet to a young charles bronson which was quite surprising. i hope hartnet turns into the new "granite face of destiny" lol

there is some bronson remakeness going on. heard jason stathams gonna star in a remake of the mechanic though i doubt the plot will be similar they never aare but the emchanic doesnt seem ell known enough to mooch off the title. however death wish would attract a bit of attention im sure you kno stallone considered a remake of iit for a while though his plot was rather different.

Just been reading a recent interview with Danny Trejo, and he has made a film inspired by Deathwish. Should be out next year under the tiltle of Vengeance.

It'll soon be time once more for craggy faced vigilantes to bring justice to the silver screen.
