The long list of movies in some way related to The Warriors from the 1st post just shows how much influence The Warriors has on filmmakers, even 30 years after it's been made!

Luther in the Warriors is also called Luther in 48 Hrs so maybe he survived the beating by the Riffs and that is him a few years later only to get killed again!
