"Who are the Warriors?"

As a way to help the Riffs, describe the Warriors (the gang, that is, not the movie) in one word.

To start things off, I'll submit "confident." Confident in their abilities to stick together, parlay with and/or waste wimps, bop their way past all the gangs and cops in NYC, read a subway map, and find their way back to the big C.I.

"army"

They work as a team and each have team skills to get through a challenge. For example, The Fox is a scout, Ajax is heavy muscle ...

"sui generis" which means uncommon and unique. The place they are from and their style, among other things, make them so appealing. If you were going to be in one of those gangs, would you want to spend all your time in the old cadillac hearse, or in the Furies dungeon, or in the Riffs garage? The Warriors have the best "outfit."

On the same token though, we never really see where the Warriors "gather" or whatnot. In the beginning deleted scene, even though Cleon is giving them their assignments on the boardwalk and apparently having an important meeting there as the nine to go to The Bronx, I can't imagine they actually conduct all their gang "business" there per se, right out in the open like that. They probably have a place of their own somewhere, like an abandoned building or something near the water. And heck maybe they do have a "Warriorsmobile," like The Rouges, ACs and the Riffs in that photo, you never know!

I think the warriors would ride around Coney Island by boat. That would be cool.

The Warriors may be a big gang but maybe he wants to know who are the 9 delegates? Cleon choose them and didn't inform Cyrus/Masai who is coming along..

Howdy folks. The Warriors are what I would like to refure to as street surviors. They knew what a cut throat type of lifstyle they were living and they knew how to get by without getting cut. That is how I feel they were able to bop thier way back to Coney Island alive. Or at least most of them.

I don't think he was asking---he knew very well who the Warriors were---I think it was a retorical question.
One that made the point: Who ever they are, they made a major mistake murdering our leader at our conclave-and they are going to pay for it.
HE was basically NOT asking as much as telling the rest of his people that
whoever did this is not going to get away with it, and they aren't as big/smart as they think they are.
HE was not asking expecting anyone to actually give him an answer.
