I was watching 'The Warriors' as part of my daily ritual today when I suddenly thought of something. In the scene just after the furies chase when Ajax meets the lady cop in the park, she says (along the lines of "you wanna show me what you can do" and Ajax (obviously) replies "well yeah" then when they both go in for the kill. I was wondering, if Ajax DIDN'T rip her shirt open and DIDN'T go so ruff, would she have got it on with him? And how would this change the movie (The Punks fight, the prom couple, The Rouges and The Riffs), would he have continued to mouth off and batter everyone he can?

Your thoughts please...

No she wouldn't have let him get any farther than he got anyway.
She was there to arrest people---and when he took the bait, he was going to be arrested---BUT by being so rough, he cancelled the hope of any escape, as IF his technique would have been different, she may NOT have had the actual chance to cuff him to the bench, and when she would have first either blown the whistle or tried to verbally arrest him---he could easily have gotten away from her, and quite possibly would have escaped capture--but in handling her, gave her the opportunity to cuff him before he knew what was happening.

what is this? why did you post this? what does this have to do with the topic? go post this in off topic, thats if you feel you really need to. and what does the next comment about the game have to do with this? that belongs in the game section, go read for tips and hits. put stuff in the forum where it should go, and save the useless post like "typing is cool"

I dont see why Ajax got arrested. The cop asked for sex, which makes arresting Ajax entrapment.

True, but when she said "STOP!" it turns into assault...

She said it as bait. To lure in the bad guys. That's her job as a cop. Ajax was stupid enought to bite.

the whole thing is a set-up in an attempt to catch as many gang members as possible. Ajax getting arrested due to being too rough is defo. not the case.

think about is this way...what the hell is a stunning lady with a nice smile doing sitting alone in a park?.........bait.

I agree with that.

In such a case, a good attorney would probably attempt an entrapment defense, indeed... But everything would come to the word of a presumably spotless police officer against the word of a known street gangster who probably already had a record. Now estimate his chances...

Realistically, though, in situations such as this that I encountered in written sources (entrapment done by female officers was apparently used quite often in US of the the 1970s; surprisingly often, in fact), the captured gang member was not taken to court, but instead was pressured into becoming an informer (understandably, usually not against his own gang - although many seemed only too happy to turn against their partners, too). His potential value as a source of information was greater than any benefit from a weak case of an attempted assault. (But in the case of the hot-headed, emotional Ajax, I suppose they might decide not to try him out as a source at all... )
