Who is/was it and why?
Mine would have to be Snow. I just like the way he's like cool, calm & collected, and he knows how to soldier unlike Ajax who's always smack talking. Also, the scene in the train station toilets, I think without Snow there the Warriors would have had it, he's just like a heavy muscle, I think he'd beat any of the other Warriors in a 1on1 fight.

That is a tough question. From the point of view of fighting, I would say Ajax. But from the point of view of coolness, I would say Cochise. Overall, I would have to go with the Warlord.

Snow...definately THE Man..!
I find myself in middle age...42...writing to a Warriors site, dont know what kind of hold this film has on me ,but its certainly strong. In reply to the first post here, I have to agree that Snow is the main star..look at the Punks fight slowly,he takes out, that is completely finishes FIVE of the punks.....nuff said. Its funny,i watched it again the other night after a number of years,I never noticed how skillfully Ajax kicks out the bat from the hands of the charging fury. Awesome. I havnt got the game yet but what a fantastic way to continue the love of the film.Cant be anything better than actually plsying the film itself and fromall Ive seen of the game it looks incredible.......anyway,first timer signing off......

Swan, In my opinion the toughest and a great leader.

Swan is the best leader they could have picked, hes like an anti-hero that everbody likes, Cool, Calm, Moody, A loner, but ultimately, good at what he does

Visual appeal...
Cochise would get my vote for coolest looking,
but the appeal of the film in general is the colour. From the opening, the design of some of the gamgs. The Furies in particular look nightmarish, the A.C's looked brutal, the Warriors themselves always looked kind of powerful. Can anyone tell me if the Directors cut is available in the UK??
I also read somewhere on this site that there is a TV movie version that shows Ajax at the poloice station AFTER he is arrested and there is a badly beaten, but still alive Cleon !!
This film has stood the test of time very well, I hope people dont expect too much of the remake ...it will be completely different,so a comparison is futile. Anyway,i was 16 when the film came out ,i remember Barry Norman calling it a 'glorified portratit of gang warfare in New York',but by then ,the film clip was of the Turnbull AC's chase,I was hooked instantly. Still am, Has anyone identified the gang with the yellow and black vertical stripes?they are seen briefly a few times at the start.

Cowboy is my favorite because he knows how to fight and he is a team player never disrespects or doesnt listen to Swan.

Definately Swan. Michael Beck could not have played him any better. I don't think he ever gets the credit he deserves, even for this movie. They always refer to this as a 'cult' movie, and I think that's bogus. There should be more than one little group of people who appreciate this movie.
Swan's quiet-type leadership I enjoy. He's quiet, but he's tough. It's tough to explain in words. Just the way he presents himself on screen says so much.
