Since Swan was Cleon's second who would Swan pick to be his Lt.?
IMO I think Swan would pick Snow (Fox would have been his other choice but we know what happened to him). Snow seemed to have a good head about him and was on the same page as Swan in wondering about the truce. Also, Snow just seemed to have a good sense of leadership about him. Likewise, he carried himself well when Ajax made a challenge to Swan's leadership. He didn't commit to either side, just sort of hung back to see how Swan would handle himself. (at least that's what I gathered from that scene). Anyway's, What are your thought's.

I agree with you absolutely, in my mind Snow would have been next to step up.
Especially with Fox gone
I could also see Cochise stepping up when he had to--but Snow would still be far and away my first choice for 2nd after Swan.

As a LT i see Snow. good right hand man. But as a leader i see Cochise. Snow is to quit to be a leader. Cochise is a outgoing, good fighter. he was kind of the leader with the Lizzies Fight. Deff Cochise.

See I could see Cochise, but I always got the feeling that he fit in more taking orders. Snow was quiet, but when he spoke he said what he needed to and spent the rest of the time taking in what was going on. I felt Cleon did that, as did Swan. When the group was together without Swan, Snow gave the orders and seemed comfortable doing that. But i could see Cochise as a possible leader ( but i just think he wouldn't like to be).

Ajaxman, i was just watching that scene an hour ago. I just put it in as background noise while drilling a hole in a dresser.. put it this way, right now Ajax just clobbered the Furies that got Cowboy.
But When Ajax was challenging for warlord, you coould see a figure shifting and moving behind and to the right of him. It was Snow. and i remember thinking "Is Snow taking sides? i thought Cochise was Ajax's buddy. Then i surmised just what you did; That Snow was observing how Swan did with this conflict. Later in the movie, he follows Swan's orders to the letter, so i knew he was prolly checking to see who came out on top. Also, tell Mercy that i think the line is "why don't you Dickheads-just walk all the way back home, huh? i think

T'man, you and I are seeing eye to eye on the SNow thing. When I first saw the scene, I thought Snow was backing Ajax. But the more I saw of the character, it occured to me that Snow was seeing how Swan would react to the challenge. When Swan made his stand, i think Snow was going to back him. A guy that checks out the situation before giving an opinion is the kind of guy you would want as a second. Fox was that to, but dang transit authority.

It would have to be Cochise. He's just a great fighter, made a good leader of sorts for the 'Lizzie Fighting' gang, and it's just not hard to see him as an LT.

I think if Fox wouldn't of died he would of been Swan's First LT because Swan and him seem to know each other from along time ago. But since he died i would have to say Snow because he's a great fighter.

I agree that Swan would probably pick Snow. He's quite strong and not the type of person that's going to be careless when making decisions. Cochise may make a good Lt., but he seems like he'd be a bit more careless at times.

Snow for sure. Snow was a great fighter but, more than that, he had a sense of what to do. Cochise, a good fighter and friend, was not the best decision maker. First, there was the "open platform" he wanted to go to. Rembrandt had a better sense when it came to leadership.(he just lacked the pull) Neither Cleon nor Swan would have gone within 10 feet of those Lizzies. Please don't get huffy about this. I love Cochise as I do Ajax, but I don't see either as a good leader.

this can go two ways...
theres 'who would swan want by his side as a second in command'
or
'who's most suitable to take over if swan gets japped'
i think through process of elimination...
vermin = too naive
cowboy = no chance in hell
Rembrant = too young
that leaves either cochise or snow
cochise vs snow.
both tough cookies but they both have a downfall:
cochise = a little irresponsible (falling for the lizzies trap and not thinking of his fellow warriors)
snow = very quiet and would he have the self belief to command with conviction?
it depends which is a bigger flaw... to me, in the pack, cochise downfall shows up more because snow doesn't need to command.
but in a warchief scenario; snows downfall becomes much more prevalent.
also...if cochise was made warchief he may act a bit more responsibly, its less likely for snow to act more like a leader.
thus, i think cochise because he would be a more convincing leader, which is absolutely crucial.
the need for this quality is emphasised in the book more with more obvious challenges to authority within the family. i think cochise would handle such challenges better than snow.
just to add to this;
swan would be weary of making cochise 2nd in command due to his strong relationship with ajax (as he could return at any time)...this could spark more problems with ajax wanting to take over as warchief so for political reasons, swan may favour snow.
