I think the cop car he was in crashed on the way to the station, killing the cops, but not him. He then managed to escape through a smashed window and ran back to the subway, still in handcuffs, where he got on the train back to Coney.

P.S On the way, he was ambushed by the Moonrunners, the High Hats and the Jones Street Boys, but he managed to beat them all with his hands literally tied behind his back.

to anyone who read the book.... did it ever say what happened to ajax afterwords...

I've got the book and it's completely different to the film. There's no character in the book called Ajax, but there's a character called Lunkface who is similar to him. He ends up getting arrested in a similar way to how Ajax is arrested, but we never find out his fate after that.

if there is 120 warriors like cleon says then i reckon some of them were already in jail and he would of met up with some in the jail ?

He probably got charged w/two of the 20 charges pressed against him w/the cops (some do that to have a better chance at locking you up for SOMETHING), did about 18 months, and was back on the streets just as new wave music hit the airwaves.

When he gets arrested, the cop says, "put that slime in the back!"

I like the first post...that is a great imagination...I never had thought of it in such a positive ending for Ajax. I thought he probably did some time in jail or juvenile detention and then went back to get up with the other gang members.

Well it don't hurt to discuss what may have happened to him after the scene in which we last saw him and it doesn't hurt to ponder what if scenarios. It would be hard to make this movie better though...Walter Hill and Larry Gordon are two of the best and this was some of their best work.

I think he got arrested but otherwise he probably escaped somehow. Ajax should find the way out. Thats my opinion.

i think what happened to ajax was, he got arrested, and went to jail lol
