96th street station

Post by vermin76 »

at the start of the furies chase when the warriors start running there is a yellow cab that turns out of a junction before the warriors get to the end of the path.yet in the rest of the scene you dont see any moving vehicles.wouldnt walter hill and the rest of the film crew have had people doing traffic control or something? :?

It may have been just for the new york feel, or you never know, cab drivers can be crazy and can just not care what people say so maybe he just drove through anyways, or maybe it was the taxi-gang doing their patrolls for the warriors

I'm sure taxi drivers are crazy all over the world, so this is just another crazy taxi driver doing his thing. They don't care who they tick off.

Call them bloopers if you wish.  But I feel all that adds to the epic style and flow of this film.  Plus if gives us things to talk about.  So, I say the movie is better because of things like seeing the film crew for half a second.

I noticed that when the Warriors board the train after dealing with the Orphans, the number on the subway car is 8085. When they are stopped at 96th street station, before they run from the cops, the number on the car changes to 8429.  I knew they only had to change trains at Union Square, I doubt they would have gone in a different car at each stop... what do you guys think?

The 96th Street Station scene was filmed at 72nd Street Station on the IRT West Side Line, in Manhattan, actually. For extra location-y goodness, Turnbull AC chase was filmed at Broadway Junction Station, in Brooklyn.

I'm quite content with contradicting you. In this thread (http://warriorsmovie.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6250.0) War Chief has aerial photos of the station. It is clearly 72nd Street.

Unless of course you are talking about the indoor scenes. They could have been filmed anywhere, and if you are talking about those, my apologies, you may be correct. The scene just outside the station, however, I am 100% sure is 72nd Street.

No, we aren't. 96th Street is when they meet the Baseball Furies. For the record, I'm not trying to start a flamewar, just stating the facts.

I'm not talking about the Orphans scene. I am going to directly quote one of your previous replies:

The part I italicized is the most important. Again, I'm not trying to start a flamewar here, I just don't want to look like an idiot because you refuse to acknowledge the fact that you made a mistake.
