I thought the movie was great. If i had to choose 1-10 10 being the best, definatly a 10. I have a few questions about it that goes with the game. I played the game and beat if 1st befor watching the movie. (Thats how i found out about the movie.) In the game there are the destroyers and a whole bunch of other stuff happens in the game before the meeting. Is all of the the things that happen in the game happen in the book?
Some of that might be confusing if it is just tell me and i'll fix it.

Let's put it this way. If you are ecstatic about the game, and even more so about the movie, and loved all of the action and gangs and music and excitement, the book will probably bore you.
Though you'll probably post back saying you enjoyed a heck of a lot now that I wrote that. But the book is more "realistic" and has a slower pace, and the Coney Island Dominators (the main gang of the book) have not been accused of anything, they're just trying to get back home.

I enjoyed the book very much, so much that Im reading another book by Yurick called "The Bag" which Harley told me about. It has tidbits involving characters from The Warriors, not much, but enough to keep my interest and continue reading.

Mr Rem is right about the pace of the book.
its realistic, more graphic/violent (esp with starnge wool), and its much more possible to empathise with the characters.
but i liked the book for these reasons.
you may be bored with less action (no mass brawls and basically no fair fights) and more realism, or you may be interested by a higher level of detail.
it depends on your interests.

Despite the difference between the book & movie, you can tell that most of the film was scripted fairly close to the course of the book, based on what happened to each character.
The book is excellent, but more a story of street family life & loyalty, not so much fighting & fast paced action.
