I don't know if this has been covered or not, but why did Cleon stick around at the conclave? Seems to me it would have been better to follow the rest of the gang.

I always thought it was part of his "go see for myself" makeup. He wanted to know exactly what was happening, and if it was real.
Curiosity killed the cat so they say, and this time it killed the Cleon.

I agree with Ranchgal. He had a curious attitude and it got the best of him. And maybe going to see Cyrus made him feel important.

i think cleon stayed, as everyone else has sayed, because he was curious. but i think he stayed when the riffs wasted him because he has too much pride to run away. i dont think cleon would run away from anyone

Those are all pretty sensible reasons, however, I think I would probably react more like Cochise did; "I was haulin' ass!"
