I saw Luthor in 48 Hours with Eddie Murphy, and his name was still Luthor, and he acted just like in the Warriors. Check out that movie when yuo can and see, it's crazy, I think his legacy continued even in other movies LOL.

Walter Hill liked David Patrick Kelley, the actor. Rembrandt(Marcelino Sanchez) is also in 48 hours as a parking lot attendant. And Hill has a character named Luther in all his movies, kind of an in joke for him, I've heard.

The actor who plays Luther plays the part of Sully in Commando, in the film Arnold makes the comment "Your a funny guy I'll kill you last" to him.

I don't think he acted exactly like Luther in the Warriors. Luther in 48 hours was a scared kitten who loved his girl. In the Warriors he was Napoleonesque. What do you think RG?

yes walter hill kept the name for luther in 48 hrs.. but as david patrick kelly said in an interview he was not playing it like the luther in the warriors..which was cool. but I can still hear "warriors luther" in 48 hrs..
when he get to the garage to pick eddie murphys car up ..and he says the the attendant ( wich is rembrant) when luther is asked why was the car here for 3 years.. and luther says ..

True. I had forgotten about that scene. The old Luther jumps out for a second there.
