I used the search engine and this hasn't been brought up. I said something about it on the "orphans" thread and thought you guys might want to expound. Could Mercy and Sully be siblings? They kind of look alike: Thin, lanky, tan skin, curly/wavy dark hair, big brown eyes. They're both sassy and when you first talk to them, it sounds like they think they're all that. They both also have some insecurity issues. The big thing I noticed was the way they talk to each other. It's a lot like the way my brother and I talk. People have said they were dating, but does the movie ever really state that? Just a thought...

Its Possible, but I don't really see it. I dont think she would just ditch the orphans like she did when they molotove cocktailed the car, if she was sully's sister, even if she did hate him somewhat she would want to know he was ok. Thats my opionon anyways

It's a good thought. I never thought that she was seeing Sully...and I think it may be a little obvious that she wasn't the 'Relationship' type. It is possible that they may have been related. Too bad it was not mentioned in the movie at all, just to give us a clear view.

Yeah I think she was actually.

great topic VFP---from the very first time i saw the movie i assumed that mercy was his sister. i just didn't see her being the girlfriend, although popular thought seems to say otherwise.

Yeah Warriorchick, there's a familiarity that is sibling-like. You'd figure if she was his girl he'd smack her for mouthing off like she did. She got away with a lot of trash talk. Figured she'd had the Orphan neighborhood up to here and the Warriors were the last straw so she figured she had nothing to lose.
