Complete track listing?

Post by The Red Dragon »

How about compiling a full list of songs and score tracks from the film? The list would include:

- the official soundtrack listing
- the music from deleted scenes (that surfing song - any others?)
- the trailer music
- the music that is in the movie but isn't on the CD (the wonder wheel music from the opening for example)

Well... a completely incomplete list might begin with:

Official soundtrack - Barry De Vorzon and others:
01. 03:58 Theme from "The Warriors".
02. 03:16 Nowhere to Run (Arnold McCuller).
03. 03:57 In Havana (Kenny Vance & Ismael Miranda).
04. 06:12 Echoes in my Mind (Mandrill).
05. 01:22 The Fight.
06. 03:56 In The City (Joe Walsh).
07. 04:49 Love is a Fire (Genya Raven).
08. 02:30 Baseball Furies Chase.
09. 02:41 You're Movin' Too Slow (Johnny Vastano).
10. 04:23 Last of an Ancient Breed (Desmond Child).

Other tracks:
"Night Run" (Mersh Brothers / Philip Marshall).
Various compositions by Barry De Vorzon (and Kenny Vance, Rob Mounsey, Paul Griffin?).
"In Havana" (Frederick LaPlano).

Music from deleted scenes:
"Rumble" (Link Wray).
Various compositions by Barry De Vorzon and others.

Various:
"Betrayal (Sorcerer Theme)" - Tangerine Dream ("The Warriors" Trailer Music).

Alternate tracks:
A track or song titled "Fugitive" was reportedly used in a TV version instead of "Nowhere to run"; the composer/performer of this is unknown to me.

I have the Fugitive on a Video realease in the loft. It's a far better song then Nowhere to Run.

Luther Vandross is a backing singer on one of the songs i noticed! More useless info for you!

What's the Fugitive, who's Luther Vandross? Is he the singer of this song? I've never heard anything like that in the movie. What is it, who sings it, who wrote it?

(And why the hell would anyone replace Nowhere to Run with anything else? Jesus! That's like pasting Freddie Prinze Jr's face over Swan's!) :?

Nowhere to run is a perfect song for the movie - it should stay.

'Nowhere To Run' isn't a great song, but the lyrics sum up the situation that The Warriors are in. After the first viewing of the movie that was the song that stuck in my head and the same probably happened to a lot of others because the lyrics are distinctive to the movie. This would be a good song to use in the remake as it has a strong connection to the film.

Honest if you heard "I'm a Fugitive" you would change your mind.

I will go in the left later today.

I like the track listings.....I guess I can look for those artists and add them to the original cd soundtrack

I like when old school topics are brought back sometimes.  I like to see how far we have come as warriors fans.  We have gone through so much.

Let me resurrect this old thread once again, then, to make it as immortal as the Warriors music itself... :)

Here is some more updated information about my little expanded soundtrack project that was originally discussed above -  I posted this updated information in another thread, in the guest forum. See post #5 in that thread:
