Cyrus Plan

Does anyone else think that cyrus's plan would have went ahead after he was killed. I mean all the groundwork was laid, all the gangs are willing to unite, his vision was told. It seems to me that his plan would've went ahead. Does anyone think im right/wrong?

I always fort it was a stooopid plan anyway... I mean yea sure they out-number the cops in new york but wouldnt the US army get involved ???

The movie is part fantasy of course. The original plan would fail in a big way. Correct that US Army/National Guard would be called in if necessary..just like for that other gang this past year in New York..The Republicans for the convention!

never woulda worked, never woulda got past even a general truce as cyrus put it. general meaning overall minus personal matters between rival gang's. too many knuckleheads like luther and ajax not happy unless they're stirrin up! guy's i wanna hang with!

In reality, truces did happen between large gangs who considered one another archenemies, and some of such truces did last for a long time.

As for the other part of the plan - that's the point at which pure fantasy sprouts. Real street gangs are too disjointed and disorganized, with their mechanics too chaotic and members too unreliable for anything even remotely similar to Cyrus's plan to ever take place anywhere. Genuine, disciplined and firmly established organized crime syndicates, on the other hand, are an entirely different matter - in their case, not only plans such as Cyrus's one have been often undertaken, but there are countries and cities in which they still are the "normality", so to speak.

yea, i guess you're right. probably not much happening in other countries of any importance, so they write about our raids in their paper!!! #-o even so, was it necessary to call names?
