Fox's Death
How long do you think it would've taken for the rest of the Warriors to find out about Fox's death?
Fox's Death
I would have thought Swan would have told them but, Walter Hill was probably so mad he wanted as little of The Fox in as possible.
Even him talking while they are discussing the meeting is cut out
Pity he left when he did as i would love to know what was planned for the character..... Yes i know i've said that before!

Fox's Death
I like Fox, but I think it's good that they killed him the way they did. It emphasises the extreme danger that the gang are in. I remember the first time I saw the film, I was pretty shocked by his death (even though it was a dodgy stand-in who was actually thrown onto the tracks). If all the Warriors, except Ajax, had made it home in one piece, I think it would've been a tamer film. Infact, I think they should've killed off a few more Warriors.
Back to the original question, Mercy tells Swan that a cop grabbed Fox, so they obviously assume that he's just in the nick, like Ajax. But Ajax would turn up back at Coney sooner or later and Fox wouldn't, for obvious reasons, so the gang would probably put two and two together and assume he got wasted.

Opps didn't read your question right thought you just meant about him being missing.
I would have thought somebody being hit by a train would make the news and it would eventually filter to the gang.

What a waste............of a cool vest. Only joking, it's kinda ironic that every gang in the city was after Fox (and the rest of the Warriors), but it was a cop who actually killed him.

You also have to think that in real life, that station would have been closed down for most of the night & next day while they investigated and what not.
I mean, how long do you figure the four of them were running from/fighting with the Furies before Swan got back to the station, an hour at most???
They wouldn't have even gotten Fox scraped off the tracks by then

Yeah, a bumbling cop got him flattened but a bus full of Turnbulls couldn't...Coney Island Baby wrote:What a waste............of a cool vest. Only joking, it's kinda ironic that every gang in the city was after Fox (and the rest of the Warriors), but it was a cop who actually killed him.

Fox's Death
I always figured that once whoever made it back to the neighborhood, would have found out about Fox shortly after the authorities would have notified the relatives. In close knit areas, word like that travels fast---both because the crying is heard through the walls, and the fact that the cops show up to make the notification---everybody would have known they were there and where they went--I don't think it would have taken too long after the cops made an identification. THAT may have taken alittle time though.
And even if Ajax didn't make it back to the neighborhood very fast, everyone in the gang would have known he got arrested---but the rest of neighborhood wouldn't have known till notification reached his family. And alot of that may have depended on how old he really was.

Your saying he would have had a chance of making it through the movie if the actor who played him didn't quit?

Mercy is running away as he gets thrown into the path of the train...I don't think she knew he died, hust that the "cops got him" as she told Swan.
