i honestly dont think fox was happy with his position of scout. when swan asked well told rem. to look around, he dis agreed. fox ( who may be jealous of swan's warchief position) , gave rem. a little signal to tell rem. to go check anyway just so he wouldnt have to go. that was fox's job to go check around ... he was the scout :-k :?! so why didnt he check . ya know! what do u think!

well plain and simple, The Fox wasn't told to do it had he been told he would have gladly. but Swan was war chief and he told Rembrandt to do it

That is an interesting theory.  But consider that, without Cleon, the whole chain of command was restructured.  Fox became a second to Swan.  There was no way he should go look around as he needed to be there for the meeting.  They were going to discuss their plans to go home.  Rembrandt didn't need to be involved in that.  Especially with regard to the power struggle that Ajax wanted to create.

I think Swan did that, and Fox reinforced it because they were going to discuss some options, and I don't think they thought Rem needed to be involved in the discussion, and Fox did, as he had the most information about the outside world.  And someone had to watch and see if they were followed, or IF the police might be close--so Rem would have been the logical one to keep watch so the others could decide.

Maybe because he was nervous of the Graveyard at darktime.
I would too if I were in his possition.

I think that Swan wanted Rembrandt to be kept busy while he hashed things out with Ajax, Rembrandt  looking like he was the new guy I don't think Swan wanted him to see anyone questioning leadership within the group or get hurt if there was a fight.  He was looking out for Rembrant.

Exactly, brilliant post emissary, as usual. Cleon set Fox's position as scout and Swan as second in command. The one in command makes the decisions. When Cleon died Swan was in command, and it was his turn to decide the rest of the warriors' positions. You can't really make someone who's heavy muscle such as Ajax or Cochise scout. Rembrandt fits the profile nicely.

Besides, it's a bit of an emergency situation and with Fox's street smarts (remember he's the one who identifies the Orphans) it's pretty necessary for him to be part of discussions.
