The Warriors and KISS ---
Hi all, this is my first time posting on this board, glad to be here. THE WARRIORS is the greatest movie ever made.
Anyhows, something of a fun thought, a few WARRIORS/KISS comments. Obviously, The Baseball Furies most likely have a KISS influence since the film was set in 1979, right after KISS' 70's peak. But I always thought Cyrus looked a heck of a lot like Gene Simmons, and that Rembrandt looked a real lot like Paul Stanley. In the 80's my friends and I used to refer to him as "The Paul Stanley guy."
Anyhows, that's it for my first of what I hope will be many posts and replies. Cheers to you all from NYC. Can you dig it ???

Welcome to the forum. Your comments about the Warriors looking like certain members of KISS are good. I never thought about things in that respect.

Thanks WonderWheel, I look forward to posting and replying with the great fans of the greatest movie ever made. And yeah I think my being a KISS fan all my life made me pick up on Cyrus and Rembrandt's KISS resemblences. "Dirty Livin'" off their '79 album Dynasty would have been a cool addition to the soundtrack. See ya on the boards --

I never really kept up with the group, although I remember buying their Alive II album on vinyl l-o-n-g ago. My friend used to come over to my house to listen to the album almost every day. I used to ask him to bring his Boston album so we could play that too. Ahh, memories.

It's a real pity they sold out. They changed from the black, satanic look, axe shaped guitars, to pure 80's hair metal - complete with 80s glittery, sparkly boots, belly-tops, lipstick and purple eyeliner. Music was still decent (enough) though.
You guys are good.....reeeeeaal good.
The best.
The best.

I'd like to see Michael Beck in something else for the helluva it, I have only seen him in The Warriors and it'd be pretty weird lol. How about Xanadu, he gets to dance with Olivia Newton-John circa 1980? Lucky guy! And I think he was in some cheesy 80's action flick called Megaforce. I should get unlazy and check the IMDB.

Didn't Walter Hill or Larry Gordon say that Kiss was an influence on the creation of the Baseball Furies? I can remember some older teenage guys doing a rock concert all dressed up with the makeup and everything of Kiss in their backyard in the late 1970's. It was so cool man...

Didn't Michael once say that The Warriors opened a lot of doors for him and than Xanadu closed them all?? Anyways...too bad...I think that his career could have recevied as high a profile as James Remar's did.....
What's the matter - goin' faggot?
