I never really thought about it to be honest. I want to revive "yeah right" but whenever I say it I sound sarcastic! Haha.

From what i gathered by watching other 70's flicks , that term was heavily used.
I always took as a expression of suprise , approval & or dissapointment .
Also i'm with you WC on the "yeah right" thing , i tried pulling that biznezz many of times , but people just thought i was being a rudeboy as well

Well I've never heard of anyone saying "A1" on our side of the Atlantic either, so I guess its just cultural diferences :-k But yea, "F-----' alright!" is a term of approval, kinda like a more vulgar version of "hell yea!". It was most popular in the '70s here in the US, but a lot of people actually still use it over here nowadays. Not to sound like a "game-o-phile" or anything, but the Warriors actually use the 2 different versions as well, like Ajax, Swan, and The Fox will say "F-----' A!" but Snow and Cochise will say the whole thing.

I've used it a hell of a lot in my time, it was common in Brighton for a while as im sure it was in a lot of places and still is in many social circles.
