Ok so maybe Luther was told to shoot him, or maybe it came out of his own crazy head...but what if he missed Cyrus, maybe he dived to the left to make a passionate move in his speach.
Could Luther dare make another shot on him now people heard gun fire?
Perhaps the Rogues would be caught and beat there and then.
At this point Cyrus would have lived!!!
Could one gang really run the city, could "Nothing would move, without us allowing it to happen"
or perhaps it would have all fallen apart anyway????

ya i agree, it would have never worked i mean if cyrus is th eleader of the gang and its there idea to run the city i dont think the rest of the gang leaders would be happy to step down from top spot and become middle men

I agree, if he would have missed---he would have gotten swarmed, but part of it may depend on how many bullets he actually had---and if he would have tried again, if he would have gotten the chance----or WHO else he would have tried to take down too.

I can see him just shooting at whoever was approaching him till he ran out of bullets---but sooner or later the Riffs would have gotten GOOD. YEW

I'm wondering about the cops too. They only kicked off when they heard gunfire....i wonder at what point the cops would have started and if there would have been more of a riot then a scramble to get out.

If Luther missed, needless to say he'd be reduced to a greasy spot on the ground. However, would Cyrus' plan have worked? No. A desire within mankind, especially those who more or less have gotten shafted in their life, will always want more. More power, more land, more. People will screw each other over forr a deal, even just, as Cyrus put it, 10 square feet of land. Gangs would rise up to the challenge to dethrone Cyrus, or anyone else, knowing the unruly types. Another thing to take into consideration, is the power. The leaders of the gangs are in power as it is, as powerful as they'll probably ever get, and they know this. They'll cling onto their position with a violent passion, fighting tooth and nail to keep it. Do you think they're going to let some other gang leader be above them? No. That would be the same as stepping down to a lower title. Biggest gang in the city or not, they're not going to step down to him. They're king, and they won't have it any other way.

Something of the like could work, however, if the gang leaders all joined in a council, and, despite the number, acted as one. Like the Warriors themselves displayed, a true display of friendship, teamwork, and loyalty to the whole. However, there are two reasons this wouldn't work. First, the gang leaders aren't friends, and probably would care for their own gang more than the whole, basically acting for the one. Second, there are too many gangs for them all to be counted in the council. They could all be in the council, but with the great number, it'd be impossible to truly act as one. Votes could be held and the like, but it all boils down to not everybody's gonna get their word and ideas in, and "not everybody's" gonna be pissed about it. For true efficiency, the number would have to be much smaller, but then it'd be closer to a mass joining-by-force than a true alliance. A group of powerful gangs, forming one gang, moving around the city, offering smaller gangs the offer to join them or else, and wiping out every gang that dare stand in their way, recruiting the beaten down enemies to their cause by force. The problem arises that it is possible that other gangs would band together, long enough to fight the main power.

It can't work that everybody's happy. Not completely, not all the time. Someone will get the shaft, at least one person, even if what they got wasn't too bad, someone will get the arse end of the deal, and you can bet that they will try to get even.

Cyrus' plan couldn't work, even if Luther did miss. Not the way he wanted it to, at least.

Well lets just say Luther did miss, I believe things happen for a reason, and one cannot stop destiny from happening.  I know some people believe that you choose your own destiny, but like I said every human existence has a path that it must follow.  So if Cyrus was not shot, in some way or another it would eventually catch up with him, and he would be killed regardless.  Its like if you have a time machine, and go back in time to save a loved one from being killed.  That loved one will get killed in another way no matter hoe many times you stop or prevent it.  It was just not meant to be.  Some of you might disagree, and believe that you can alter an event if you had a chance, but if its an act of God, no barrier can stand in its way.  So Cyrus was meant to be killed, to set some message that we supposed to contemplate and reflect on.  Lets just say he does not die, I think a voice inside of him will wake him up to a new personality.  A more vengeful Cyrus, who will realize that unity will never work, and that its a dog eat dog world.  So if you want to draw first blood, the Riffs will make sure that they rain supreme in anyway they can.  You see the universe usually folds into a vortex of answers, and things happen for a reason.  So who knows what would happen, its another situation that one must analyze to see its outcome and potential.  The world may never know.  There are many aspects of this huge abyss of a world, and galaxy.

If luther missed the movie would have lasted about 20 minutes and had a very very messy ending.  Also it probably wouldn't be called The Warriors, more like, Idiot Gets Beaten To Messy Pulp!  :p

if Luther had missed there wouldn't be any left of him for the riffs cos all of the other gangs would've killed him  :badgrin:
