Did the Lizzies have their own "turf"?

Post by Harley »

It was never clear whether Vermin, Cochise and Rembrant were on the Lizzies turf or their boyfriends. Did the Lizzies as a gang control their own bit of street or were they simply a gang of girlfriends to a male gang?

I like to think they were tough enough to have their own part of town even though they didn't get the Warriors, but hey neither did the Orphans, Furies, or Punks.

I could be wrong, but I was always of the opinion that The Lizzies' whole story about "their men being at the big meeting up in the Bronx" was a big tale. That was their con just to get The Warriors back to their lair so that they could try and get them for The Riffs. Seeing how they were lezbos, at least in part, I can't see anyone being their men...

I guess it's possible that they could have had a male gamg as their counter-parts... :?:

I tend to go with that they did have some guys who had their own gang, and that the Lizzies were kind of like "hangers-ons" in their guy's territory. Because after all, take the guns away and you have a bunch of skinny chicks (well, some skinny) that no guy in any gang, not even The Orphans, is gonna be threatened by.

I felt that maybe The Lizzies got the call from someone (The Riffs? Or their guys?) to lure The Warriors. Of course, the thing about their guys going to "the big meeting in the Bronx" can be a bunch of bull too, although I feel they were telling the truth about that.

Well once the word went out that the Riffs wanted the Warriors--the Lizzies were just doing their part and trying to make points, just like the Furies or Punks. I think that was spelled out when they said -"Warriors, yea we've heard of you guys." they were saying they got the WORD from the Riffs, WANTED alive or dead!!

Yes, I think the Lizzies had their own turf---and club headquarters--that indicates space of their own---however I look for them to have some affiliation with a male gang and have some turf crossover with them.
I got the feel that the Lizzies were orientated toward tough---and if you made the gang, they really don't care which way you swing---towards the dudes or your own--that would open the possibility of them having some "dudes" more or less, some of them any way, and that would help them cement their own turf, as well as help hold a larger area for the affiliated dudes, who ever they were. Just a thought.

They were a gang of seductress's. They might sell their bodys and mug men (in this case the warriors cept they were out for blood) So I would say they are organized and well brought up so i would say yeah they were a gang of their own.

I agree that they were seducers, and that's their strength. Had Rembrant fallen for their tactics like Vermin and Cochise they would of all been wasted. They probably aren't used to guys not falling for their charms and as a result were not really prepared when the three of them fought back.

Because the majority of men think with their dicks, the Lizzies had the potential to be one of the most powerful gangs in the City, but unfortunately for them there was one little problem - they were uglier than the Turnballs!

The Lizzies Couldnt Have Kept Any Turf, they couldnt even kill 3 unarmed men, while they were packed out, but then again the warriors are good, real good, the best

The Lizzies had very small turf. It was about a block long. They had to beg their "dudes" for it. They could have killed the Warriors if Rembrandt wasn't a scared little kid that's affraid of girls.

The Lizzies were at the big meeting (you can see them in the trailer) so I assume they are their own gang. They're all lesbians too which is why I guess they are The Lizzies? That was Walter Hill's attempt at getting a gay persepctive into the film which he wanted to do.
The one and only!
