Coney Island to lose sleaze factor

With these redevelopment plans for CI finally getting underway, it looks like coney is gonna lose a lot of its character. Wonder wheel and the cyclone will still be there, but check out these artists renderings of what the future coney will look like. Imagine the warriors trying to look tough when they walk next to the giant mermaids.

What the.....
Those conceptual designs are like a bad acid trip. How is having an elephant with tattoo's going to make th place less sleazy? What ever next? A chimp in bondage gear? I dont know why batman is in the crowd. maybe gotham city is also getting a makeover and he was having a holiday untill its finished. This all leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I don't feel good. Coney was the place I thought would always keep the 70's and the Warriors for generations to come. Now with all that bull-crap, man this really p!sses me off!

Whatever, I wouldn't worry cuz projects like this never look like the artists conception. Especially after they find out how much materials and labor cost.

Just imagine all the history that past through that place. I thought essence of greatness would always be preserved there. Even great mind like Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung visited the old C.I. I just hope its spirit will remain.
