Hi guys, you know, when I entered 1st time the site, I saw the under-menu GANGS.
I saw all the gangs names and the note ---"This is the official list of gangs that were in the movie (made up and real!) and is from the original movie script"---. Is it also the official 1979 NYPD list? Sincerely I don't think so, but it could be cool inserting it in the site( and maybe illegal?!! I hope no!).
Anyway, after "Hurricanes4slife" topic about "The Homicides", we know that real C.I. gang were them and not The Warriors. So I have 1 doubt: what are real 1979 NY gangs names and linked turfs?
After this endless introduction, I know it , my question is:
who can tell me the real links between gangs and turfs?( 4 istance Turnbull Ac's-Gunhill The Bronx: yes in the movie, but in those years who ruled Gunhill?).
Always if someone knows these links, and that isn't a problem 4 him and the site!

I know one "turf" in the Bronx, was ruled by The LKs. They had the area by 183 st, up from burnside in the 80s, also known as University Heights. I just asked my mom this question randomly but i just read this post, Swan and thought you'd like to know. She said she lived by there and it was the worst. Luckly, the bronx isnt so bad anymore. There are more cops now who watch that area as well as in Harlem, fro bloods and crips. Thank god NY isnt so scary anymore.

I've heard of a gang that were founded in the late 60's in The Bronx buy a guy from Puerto Rico called The Savage Skulls. They were supposed of been one of the most feared gangs in NYC around the 70's-80's. Another gang is The Mongrels, who the crew of The Warriors paid to help protect the set of movie from other gangs...
